Identity is an interesting topic.
I believe that the winning DAC will offer full spectrum identity management.
(The most services to the most people - all voluntary.)To access some real world services, you need to identify yourself.
If you can live without those services, you shouldn't have to.
Planktonclub, lol.
Reminds me a while back when some guy was bragging in the bter trollbox about how he had made this awesome trade in NAS or some stupid coin like that, and it had gone up 100%. And the volume on NAS during that time had been basically nothing, so what had happened i that the guy had bought .01 BTC of it and had sold it for .02, making a whole 2 bucks.
He was giving these tips about trading some coin that had like $5 a day in trading volume, as if you could make anything from that at all.
How can the amount of BTS needed to vote into the 101 decrease?
As far as I know collateral doesn't count towards your votes. I think this is changing. but for now if someone with millions of BTS did a large short it could reduce the number of voting shares by a noticeable amount.
well that sucks bc shorting adds value to the asset markets, liquidity to the system. you'd think shorting would be encouraged, or at least not discouraged.
I believe this is changing in the upcoming update.
most charts indicates that this is not a healthy rise, something happened overnight
my doctor once said the same thing.
be happy bitshares can still get it up, even if it needs a little stimulation from time to time.

I am also not for killing people but could see such a case as self defense. Bec. SR was peaceful, one person, who allegedly showed evidence of the copy of the server, was willing and able to destroy the lifes of peaceful people. To publish the buyers and sellers names and adresses would have caused a lot of pain and maybe death for some people. So why not kill the one man who is responsible for it?
bc SR was supposed to be about taking narco from the violence of traditional black markets. besides, it's also just not right to execute someone bc of something they may, or may not, do/say.
So you kill this person to prevent a larger damage.
But whatever. I am no expert and have no idea what was really going on.
The infographics (in various formats) were uploaded in the general nullstreet forum. I think Cass has also placed them online, and he has the .ai files.
The original .pdf set is also found as downloads here: http://www.backgroundstories.com/portfolio-item/bitshares/
(see icons under the BitShares description)
It appears I can't attach to this forum. ping me with an email if you'd like the .ai files.
BTC had to start dropping again didnt it. Just when everything was starting to do well.
Criminals trying criminals. Awesome. What a joke.
and done!
CNY is now the biggest asset on the BitShares exchange!
ok now it's time to short some bitUSD to keep the competition alive!
haha awesome! let's have some good old fashioned competition to see who can get the #1 asset. Looks to me like the Amurkans just rallied...
so you want to challange the chinese community members. i will help you a little bit too.

I forked a lot of the bitpay plugins to work with bitshares for ecommerce sites... So we already have head start in ecommerce direction
The beauty of bts is that we use current checkout currency ie usd and allow payment for the bitasset version ie BitUSD so it's very seamless from a merchant and consumer pov
That's awesome! Can you point me to something to learn more?
