BitShares PTS / Re: cudaPTSwin - Beeeeer - PTS GPU miner for Windows
« on: January 16, 2014, 06:27:01 pm »
@thesuperconductor My computer has 8gb and my video card has 768mb. How much memory is needed?

If you get a malloc error, make sure you have more than 800 MB of free video memory. Ill hook up my dusty GTX 460 and test it, ill try to make some adjustments for low-memory GFX cards but it will decrease in performance.

@crz Any update on incorporating low memory (768mb) cards? It won't be a decrease in performance for me, as I'm currently getting 0 cpm! Thanks!

Yes working on it!

<gpu's-to-use> How to use multi GPUs (2, 3, 4)? tks

If you got 1 GPU use, use: 0
If you got 2 GPU's use, use: 1
If you got 3 GPU's use, use: 2

Hope it helps, If you have any further questions, please let me know. Don't forget to post your stats. :)

Cheers!

Great! Miner's running flawlessly so far. Will try this time over night again.

Result so far:

v0.3 - i5-4670K - Windows 8.1 (64 bit) - avx - GTX 770 2GB:: ~920 c/m

Thanks!

No problem, nice! - you can try v0.4 some users report slight increase in c/m rate, around 20 c/m more.

Thanks...will check it out later today.

Do you plan to support other pools as well, like Ypool?

On the moment only http://ptsweb.beeeeer.org - I really like beeeeer for the great support, nice pool owner and people around it. And its very transparent in payouts @ 0.2 pts you will get paid automatically.

But isn't this still the fastest miner for CUDA on windows (without compiling something yourself)?

You can try my windows GPU miner its very fast and it is based on dga's cudaptsminer. For now only supports ptsweb.beeeeer.org pool. -> https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=2311.0

@jabbaah

1.) I will release the source, no worries.
2.) Did you try version 0.3? (its still in testing phase) on my test machines it doesn't crash. It switches between my address and dga payout adresss for supporting.

Version 3.0 online.

@thesuperconductor  I am getting an error "could not malloc dev_data (2)". What could be causing this error?

Do you have enough memory? - Will try to test my GTX 460 tomorrow.

@unsoindovo nothing about gtx 780 benchmark?

Not yet :-)

cudaPTSwin is discontinued and I have closed the download links. Reason: beeeeer's PTS server is completely shut down, thank you all for the support!

Current versions:
- 0.3 (beta)

Requirements:
Nvidia GPU with Compute capability 2.0+
CPU with AVX/SSE4
Windows 64 bit
Latest Nvidia drivers (http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx)

Download:

Check your version here -> https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-gpus

Usage:
Change the edit_me.bat or use:

cudaPTSwin.exe <your-pts-payout-address> <gpu-to-use> <mining-implementation: (avx, sse4, sph)>

GPU-TO-USE:
0 for GPU id 0
1 for GPU id 1
..
