General Discussion / Re: List of BitAssets to pre-register
« on: July 08, 2014, 04:28:04 am »
Is there somewhere I can read to find out how these prices track the actual price of the commodity traded? Or someone explain it here. Can't get my head around it at the moment.

Since I am not really sure what the hell XT is, I am going to say way less than the smallest option. If we are talking about the Bank & Exchange, I would guess around $20 million after a few months with some extreme volatility throughout the beginning.

I hope it has been decided that they drop the XT name and just call it X. Obviously it won't be launched fully featured, but I see absolutely no advantage in having the T there except for confusing people even more on what is not trivial stuff to begin with.

General Discussion / Re: [POLL] How much would you sell your BTS for?

Do we know if Cryptsy is putting BTS on its exchange?

Pretty sure that answer is no. But if there is demand, it will be inevitable. Bitshares-PTS is there so don't see why it wouldn't and BTer as well. .

Which is why I suspect that at least at the beginning on cryptsy BTS will trade lower than the implied value given by the BTS market, which is packed with people who are much more bullish on BTS because of their investment in it.

Some of that may be mitigated by the fact that some of these people may be hearing about bitshares for the first time or only had a chance now to get involved with bitshares. Also it requires people going to cryptsy with their bitshares and selling them, so if they are mostly bullish on bitshares the price they would sell at would be still reasonably high. But your point is valid, just to what degree time will tell.

BitShares AGS / Re: Due diligence questions?
« on: March 10, 2014, 02:30:53 am »
Excuse my ignorance, are there any planned projects that will be using the AGS donated in the near future (obviously apart from the bitshares X snapshot on Feb 28).

BitShares AGS / Balance not showing for angel shares
« on: February 24, 2014, 09:19:50 pm »
Hi I donated some bitcoins to the angel shares BTC address yesterday.
When I go and check the balance lookup I get no info for my address. But on blockchain I can see it sent fine. Is there a time period I need to wait?

Thanks.

BitShares PTS / Re: BitShares-PTS 1.0 Release (2.18.2014)

Is this the wallet I send my protoshares from the exchange to have them claimed for new bitshares allocation on the 28th?

BitShares AGS / Re: Repost: Announcing AGS & BitShares Allocation

I'm still slightly confused.  Why would we donate PTS?  If we don't donate don't we still get a % in AGS?  What happens to our PTS after this?

Yea can someone else clarify this point? Because wouldn't it be better to hold onto the PTS rather than donate?

Do we have up to the 28th to send to this address? Thank you.

For someone coming late to the party and only really learning more about bitshares today with the protoshares price increase. What is the best way to get bitshares? Buying up protoshares or donating to this AGS think I keep hearing about? Obviously this is to maximise the amount of bitshares I get.

Thanks for any help.
