Do you think ripple will "release" more when we pass them again? :)

General Discussion / Re: BitUSD Market Discussion

Market has been paused while we investigate an issue.

OMG....
They "paused" the market by canceling there big orders ... such that the market depth was too low ..
They cannot really "pause" the market once s.o. else puts in the money :)

BM is usually posting thing directly when they appear .. might be a minor glitch worth nothing ..

Was wondering how that was possible. Cheers for that info.

BTSX price ticker added.

current price 0.00 BTC? I assume not enough decimals places to display it? wouldn't in USD be more appropriate anyway?

It does not mention Bitassets are collateralized with BTSX in the article.  Crucial detail.

Looks like you can reply directly to the article.

Can we also have separate lists of which markets are active and not.
Ie BitUSD/BTSX should be currently all by itself so users know which markets are active without checking forums etc.

Edit: Also would it be possible to have a live feed (would only need the USD part updated every few hours) of what the current BitUSD/BTSX actual price is? That way wouldn't it reinforce the market peg as users would trade closer to it?

General Discussion / Re: Time to increase the dividends

BTSX is proving itself pretty well on the market. I have collected enough BTSX to cover the cost of running delegates for the entire year. As a result I have decided to decrease my payrate to 0%. With this increase in market cap and transaction volume we should certainly increase the earnings per share.

I love hearing that. That already you have made enough money to cover your costs (that's amazing!), and then 0% payrate now, even better!
Thanks.

I agree. I kind of have an idea, but if I'm dealing with a considerable amount of money I want to be 99% sure I know what I'm doing before I do anything.

well... I had 10K USD when the price was 0.00817 USD ,but I don't want to risk it .I don't have 99% sure .

So......

If I had , now ..it would be 40K USD   :o

Oh no, you can never really know what the market is going to do. I mean 99% sure I know what I'm doing by shorting or going long or any other combo of options I choose through BitSharesX

Its inevitable that people are going to want to take profits along the way. Speculators that aren't in for that long haul.
This is probably what we are seeing now. Price consolidation, before next push?

Technical Support / Re: How do you backup a wallet?
« on: August 22, 2014, 11:04:26 pm »
DO NOT DELETE config.json file which is located outside the wallets folder. This is your equivalent .dat wallet!

Sorry, but config.json it's NOT equivalent of wallet.dat
Anyway @kripeecakes to be "completely safe"^2 make a backup of whole "C:\Users\<User name>\AppData\Roaming\BitShares X" folder.

Whats the equivalent ubuntu folder? ~/BitShares X correct? With sub folders logs, chain, wallets, exceptions, peers.leveldb ?
Just double checking
