General Discussion / Re: Proposed Allocation for Merger
« on: October 22, 2014, 09:52:02 am »
So looking at the market and at the price of PTS and BTSX, this deal is the best for BTSX holders, right?

Also will the total supply of newly created BTS be increased and move from 2B?

Thanks

General Discussion / What is going on??

Guys why are people dumping the sh** out of BTSX? I was just on BTER and a half a million dump happened in front of my eyes.
Not to mention that BTSX has lost over 40% in the last couple of weeks. Is this connected to the Bytemaster recent plans of unification of all the DACs?

Thanks

http://wiki.bitshares.org/index.php/ApprovalVoting obviously needs some updating .. maybe i can find some time this evening

Yes I found that, but it didn't answer my questions.
If somebody please can!
Thanks!

1. How often should I vote? Once a week? Once a month?

2. Do I have to go and manually do the above operation of voting every time (choosing Vote as Delegates recommend. My whole BTSX balance being sent to me and a fee of 0.5 BTSX being deducted) or can I program a client do this for me from time to time?

3. Even after I voted, I still have a small triangle warning about the not voting with all stake or something like that. Did I vote right or not when I still have this warning?

Thanks guys!

So I am trying to figure out all this voting stuff since I realize it is beneficial for the network and I want to help a network.

I have just voted by choosing Vote as Delegates recommend option. My whole BTSX balance was sent to me and a fee of 0.5 BTSX was deducted.

Now I have couple of questions:

What is the latest wallet and where can I download it?

How do I import then my old wallet? I have been using always 0.2.3 but I haven't been online for a while, I've been traveling.

Thanks guys.

You can always find the latest version here: http://bitshares-x.info/
For now it's 0.4.4: https://github.com/dacsunlimited/bitsharesx/releases

This version has few problems, if you get these problems, here the solutions: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=7180.msg96059#msg96059

Before doing anything, make sure that you have your wallet backup.

Can I just import json file with this version or do I have to backup all the BTS X roaming folder in windows?

Import json should be fine.

Great, thanks!

Does anybody have a withdrawal problem with btc38?

Whe I go to a withdraw tab in my account balance I get a system error, try again message while it says loading BTSX address.

I go on refresh and it does the same thing over and over again.

Are BitShares X open sourced? Where can I see a source code?

Thanks

General Discussion / Re: Cannot withdraw BTSX from BTC38.com
« on: July 26, 2014, 01:14:10 pm »
I have just set up a Bitshares X client and bought some BTSX on btc38.com but cannot withdraw them as I don't have a short address. I dont seem to be able to get a short address without first funding my account. This seems like an issue which needs to be resolved for new user ease of use.

So would someone be so kind as to send me a few BTSX so I can register my account?

Thank you in advance.  :)

You can wait that somebody sends you some funds or you can just use this public wallet. Just follof the instruction and you will be set in less then 5 min.

Theres a public wallet you can use to send yourself funds for registration.

Well I guess I have just jinxed BTER with the above post  :D I have done a withdrawal of 87K BTSX 50 minutes ago and I don't see it in my wallet.

I will send a PM to freeworm so he can take a look at it.

You should have got yours. We just re-sent your request.
Withdrawal works fine now and gets confirmed instantly in our test.

I have received it couple of hours ago. Thanks a lot!
