BitShares AGS / Re: Please stop AGS Bid!
« on: April 21, 2014, 01:57:48 pm »
Do not stop the AGS donations and do not make another snapshot.  Everyone knew the deal from the beginning. This is coming from someone that would have more BTS if a new snapshot was taken.

The February 28th snapshot is cast in concrete.

This concerns me as I've broken concrete with my bare hands. :)

Who gets the royalties when a song I bought shares in is played on the radio, Itunes downloads, a song is used in a movie or commercial, and other stuff like that?

AGSers are getting compensated by getting more bang for the buck.  Right?  The social contract shouldn't change.  Just my 2 bitshares (which could end up being worth a lot ;D).

If I were you I would invest that $1k in myself and not in crypto.  Invest it wisely in yourself and you can buy all the crypto you want later.  I could be wrong, but you seem to be more concerned with what you can get in life with no effort or what others can give you for nothing. If you spend more time thinking about what you can do for yourself, everything else in life takes care of itself.  I apologize if I'm misunderstanding you.  Good luck!

DAC PLAY / Re: What games do we want to play?
« on: April 09, 2014, 03:45:30 pm »
Yes, Poker has been done to death, but there is a problem that a DAC could solve.  Low Rake and RNG trust.  I can't think of a need for a Chess DAC.

Backgammon could work.

One day a crypto equity mag will compete w bloomberg news, wsj, and the other big players.  I'd be interested in helping out.

I don't care much about liquidity, but is there a way to make an AGS wallet so I can extract all the AGS out of my Electrum and PTS wallet? For my own peace of mind, I would like to be able to see my AGS.

hard: bitshares_tooklit + PL theory = ProtoType (PTT)
    Ethereum competitor. Stealth mode!

You could call it Vaporeum.

Careful, there's a cool story about black pots and kettles.

Yeah, PokerShares!  I LOVE ME SOME TOAST.  why not call them BitChips?

That's not a fair poll. You should include Keyhotee as an option too
+1 Agree

The option to leave it alone is voting for Keyhotee.

Whats wrong with people trying to rename everything? So far I'm not convinced that any name would be better than Bitshares Lotto, its simple and you get the point. Also we cant start renaming everything with no good reason, this can only create more confusion.

What's wrong with people?  I disagree that we are trying to rename everything.  BitsharesLotto does get to the point, if you are playing lotto.  I agree with the OP that it doesn't exactly fit as an appropriate name for the parent gaming DAC.

I may be way off base with this, but my concern as a U.S. citizen is the government making a case that every holder of BitsharesLotto is considered an illegal gambling operator.

Is there a way to incorporate code for anonymous transactions like Darkcoin or Zerocoin?  I would hate for the government to track down large holders and start prosecuting.  Please tell me I'm wrong.
