I've filed a github issue on this. What was hash of the commit that you built your latest version of Keyhotee from?

That is the status of the OSX version of Keyhotee?

We're still doing alpha releases right now, so we're not focusing on multiple platforms too much yet. We're building Windows binaries,  but Linux and OSX have to be build from github source (both of these have been tested and do work fine). My team only has Windows and Linux boxes, bytemaster is the only OSX dev at Invictus currently, as far as I'm aware.

We're planning another alpha release this Friday with fixes for many of the issues reported for the first alpha, with a special emphasis on bugs related to profile creation problems (a few users had hangs while trying to create profiles).

I have one idea about the hang during profile creation: I'm concerned about how much memory is being contiguously allocated in a win32 application for the seed_stretching. We'll build a Win64 version tomorrow and see if that gets around this issue.

I'll try to make some time to test it on XP, Vista and 8 sometime this evening.
Thanks, bob, that will be very helpful. We're can't yet repeat this on any of our development machines, so we're looking for some common factor in the systems where this hang is occurring. It doesn't appear to be just a factor of the data entered.

There's no dividend on protoshares.

found two blocks so far, so I guess the pool will probably still supply consistent payouts on a daily basis.

It seems to me the simplest thing to do is simply to start back up the server and let people make their withdrawals. Any other "settlement" system is likely to take a long time and more likely to cause worse problems when mistakes are made in the process. Personally, I had both BTC and PTS on the exchange, but I just want to get back whatever I can and as soon as possible.

so imma guess that ws bytemaster with the new gpu miner!!! proving the network can still be overpowered with a gpu? single transaction? hmmmmm?
Perhaps I'm getting jaded, but doesntmatter's posts are so off-base from the reality, I'm actually starting to find them amusing :-) All hail Bytemaster, the new Illuminati master!

Unfortunately mining is not really the way to go unless you get lucky - I am currently mining with ypool and by my calc it will take me about 17 weeks at the current rate to get 10 PTS.  So in my book mining is just for fun - never done it before so thought I would have a go.  Tried solo mining but didn't get a sniff.

Just FYI, I"m getting about .4 PTS per day from each of my machines by mining in bytemaster's public pool. Don't know what your machine speed is, of course, so YMMV, but from what you say, you might be able to do better there than ypool.

BitShares PTS / Re: AMD processors?
« on: November 09, 2013, 10:49:45 pm »
Don't know about other OS's, but on Win64 I'm getting better results on my FX-8120 (hpm of ~30) versus 21 on my newer i7 3820 system! These are hpms are on bytemaster's pool, I was getting roughly half that on each system before, so the AMD was performing better even then (but I had to run 2 separate protoshares to get the full hpms on the AMD since it's got 8 logical cores). But with the new pool mining, only running 1 process and only taking up a bit over a 1GB.
