Nice.

Somewhat related, while watching the latest TED talk yesterday, I find out about http://compte-nickel.fr/

An instant bank account service in France, where you can find the teller machine in groceries store, etc. The registration fee is around $20 or something like that. Obviously we can come out with a better and cheaper solution than that.

While cryptos are being slaughtered, maybe this chart will work for guessing the future, someone will have to get it right eventually, lol

"BitStake is a digital currency platform that supports multiple Proof of Stake crypto currencies."

"BitStake provides users the ability to earn interest on account balances held in Proof of Stake modules. All accounts are held in a secure system."

Fairly young project, according to their GitHub it's about 4 days old.

General Discussion / Re: A Rocket Scientist Looks at BitShares
« on: January 13, 2015, 12:27:55 am »
Just to clear up something blurry in my head, in case of the majority of the delegate nodes being 'nuked' or compromised, will there be any problem processing the new votes to kick them out / vote in the new delegates? I know it's unlikely to happen, just wanted to know the worse case scenario.

Hello Camilla! Welcome to the BitShares community.

Thanks for the great effort to support and promote BitShares through your online store. Yup, you should get in touch with the Bitscape team for bitUSD payment gateway. Jsidhu is currently working on bitUSD payment gateway too, and it will work with WooCommerce as a WP plugin.

Here's the link to jsidhu payment gateway thread:
https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=11840.msg172186

For now, you can start with over-the-counter orders from within the forum by accepting bitUSD manually.

p/s: I know accepting Paypal is somewhat contradict the ideas of bitAssets and decentralization. But it's a great start, she already had a working WooCommerce store in a pipeline, and some pretty products too. There's nothing wrong accepting payment via Paypal to kickstart the project right?

General Discussion / Re: BitShares and Bali

Great project! I live in the neighbouring country, maybe I can plan something productive for my next trip to Bali later this year.

The community there are pretty serious about implementing Crypto Currency in local economy, here's a school in Bali that teach kids how to use Bitcoin

What if someone trying to sabotage by leaving a negative comment/rep? or Spam? How should I manage/fix that? Can we reply that message on our own wall? Can we delete/flag it?

Just asking, never notice that feature before. :)

General Discussion / Re: Referral Program Starting Today
« on: January 08, 2015, 12:53:29 pm »
I recommend that you also accept "?r=bts_account_id"  instead of account names. Makes the referral link look less spammy.

+5% YES please.

Generic referral query string + money related website doesn't mingle really well in most people's head.

"Wait, what was that ref string at the end? Motherfucker, trying to suck me into a fucking ponzi scam." *flag as spam*

General Discussion / Re: Default Vote for Core Devs???
« on: January 03, 2015, 10:04:45 pm »
-100% Definitely a bad idea.

On a side note, the least that we can do on user-side is choose a descriptive delegate name. For example 'projectname-dev.username' is better than just 'username' or 'randomword.username'. This might help casual users get some basic idea about that delegate and make an informed decision.

Fantastic!  I'm male, and would like to get pregnant naturally and give birth.  How do you suggest I start?

Idk if you are joking or what, but... Weirdly enough that's actually my dream too. Seriously.

You start by getting rich enough to pay for the R & D yourself. You cannot expect others to pay for it because very few share your desire/dream.
