MineBitShares bitUSD Mining is now live at @ http://pool.minebitshares.com

'We aim to be the most profitable multipool with 0% fees and bonus payouts for every miner, every day'

We've just completed payouts of $439 bitUSD to 45 miners who have been mining on the pool over the last 3 days. This is at 0% pool fee and included 3 days bonus payments.

The pool website has been updated and now includes pool profitability stats.

Happy Mining!

General Discussion / MineBitShares Reloaded – We’re Hiring
« on: February 01, 2015, 02:29:00 pm »
Are you a talented tech with a passion for BitShares that loves a challenge?

Would you like to be directly responsible for bringing hundreds, possibly thousands of new crypto-enthusiasts into the BitShares ecosystem?

You would be helping develop THE most profitable multipool in existence, with hundreds of concurrent users from around the globe, processing 1000’s in BitUSD daily.

Ideally you would have some of the following skills: bootstrap/javascript/node.js/redis/nomp/python/AWS/linux and have an understanding of crypto mining and bitshares api/client functionality.

If this sounds like you, reply in the thread or drop me a pm with how you can help.

For more info on bytemasters and the community’s plans for MineBitShares listen to this weeks Beyond Bitcoin hangout (@ 37 min) (https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=13860.0) and check out the pool’s thread https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=6236.msg180213#msg180213

Technical Support / 0.5.0 Wallet not displaying a 2338 BTS transaction
« on: January 21, 2015, 01:50:40 pm »
One of the minebitshares miners can't see  a payout transaction that the pool sent them to their wallet.

The transaction was sent on the 15th Jan with txid : b15b1f5b10ef78abb3972e1964bc7ddc57cb7c70 for an amount of 2,338.802 BTS
(see http://bitsharesblocks.com/blocks/block?id=1531769 )

I asked the miner verify the TITAN deposit by running the command on their client :

wallet_verify_titan_deposit b15b1f5b

and I believe the following results verifies that the TITAN transfer was received by the miners client but it's not listed in their GUI

Code: [Select]
{
  "from": "payouts-minebitshares-com",
  "to": "miner",
  "amount": {
    "amount": 233830165,
    "asset_id": 0
  },
 "memo": "Payout 0115145657"
}

This is a screenshot from the miners BTS client - They client shows that they received a small payout on the 11th Jan and a test tx and a large payout yesterday from the pool. But not the 2338.802 BTS on the 15th Jan.

I asked the miner to rescan that block 1531769 by running:

Code: [Select]
scan 1531769  Which did not help.

Can anyone offer any other suggestions for troubleshooting please? miners client version is  "0.5.0" thx.

DevShares / DVS delegate www-minebitshares-com
« on: January 18, 2015, 02:58:49 pm »
I've registered a 3% DVS delegate as suggest by BM to:

Test the delegate upgrade process before upgrading the www.minebitshares-com delegate on the on the BTS chain
Find bugs/issues with using new DVS api/features by testing them on the minebitshares node.js based dev pool
The pools auto-payout code and use of public keys tend to find issues like these https://github.com/BitShares/bitshares/issues/1196 which I log on github

I could do with a few votes to start producing blocks - www-minebitshares-com is in position 102 at the moment, thx.

Technical Support / BTS wallet_contact issues
« on: December 29, 2014, 08:18:25 am »
I use BTS wallet contact accounts associated with BTS public keys to allow miners to mine BTS at minebitshares.com without having to register an account to login...

They simply user their BTS key as their username...

i.e. BTSX7wjLyYs2cR1Gj9WX9vW1kELndM2u4UCEnr5VgLyTiH1wib3w8q

This has worked very well for the last few months, but since Dec 20th and  "client_version": "v0.4.27.1", the pools auto payouts have failed due to issues with 'resolving' wallet contacts.

There are two issues it appears:

1. When I've created a local contact account using a public key,  if the public key belongs to a registered account, it appears the client 'resolves' the key to the registered account name and I can no longer reference the local contact using the name I originally used as the contact name.

2. I cannot remove the contact - it appears as though wallet_remove_contact_account does not save the removal to the users wallet - the removed contact re-appears on restart

This is not true for newly registered accounts - this may be only true for accounts registered before the change from BTSX to BTS public keys.

It's effect means I've having to manually payout miners, which is a very time intensive process and so is delaying payments...

I've detailed the steps below so someone can repeat and confirm the issue, any help or confirmation that this is a know issue, would be very useful, I'll add it to github as well.

Adding a local contact account for a public key that has been registered.

Has the API response changed for wallet_account_balance call in v0.4.25-RC1?

My balance query code is a failing, meaning I can't pay out miners and wondered if it's due to a change in the API call?

Given that at some point BitShares users will be importing their BTS/PTS and associated AGS private keys into the the sparkle client to claim their genesis sparkle.

Has a trusted BitShares dev review the code to ensure there are no security issues?

I'm sure everything is fine, just being cautious before I fire up the client.

General Discussion / BitShares helps to elect next US President
« on: November 21, 2014, 02:20:21 pm »
OK, the title is a bit far fetched, but it could turn out to be true!

BitShares is featured heavily in the article:

RANDPAULCOIN TO FUND 2016 PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN
https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/randpaulcoin-fund-2016-presidential-campaign/

I never really understood the implication of this Bitshares clone, but now see how valuable it is likely to be in helping to get Bitshares noticed an understood, and I'm genuinely exited about how much it (and any other clone) can help. I'd encourage us all to do what we can to help them launch successfully.

Make sure you read the announcment thread as well https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=848182.0;all- it's really highlights why they chose BitShares and it's advantage.

And if your interested in the politics, here is a piece on why Rand Paul could be a challenger to Hillary Clinton

General Discussion / Priority Tech Support for Exchanges
« on: November 01, 2014, 08:42:23 am »
What's the best way for exchanges like Bittrex to get developer assistance with BitShares wallet/client issues quickly?

Bittrex have an issue at the moment which means their BTSX wallet is offline (last 18hrs) for all their clients while they wait for a response via myself (as I helped to get them on board) to their issue.

I'm always happy to help, but I'm no BitShares developer  :o

The exchanges are a critical part of the BitShares ecosystems and I believe they should have a priority e-mail / contact details to help them resolve any issue.

Does such a contact method exist - if so let me know and I'll pass it on, and if not can something be set-up?

Hi Dev Team,
       I've had a query from Richie from the Bittrex  Exchange in relation to BTSX

Can we help by responding to his query / call for help?

NethyB, i've got a problem that I don't know how to solve. I have a user claiming to make a deposit to us, and provided the transactions id, but they don't show up in our wallet. I see the transactions on the blockchain, but I have no clue where he deposited to.

How do we prove definitively if a deposit gets here?

Stakeholder Proposals / Anyone else's delegates missing blocks unexpectedly?
« on: September 22, 2014, 06:57:18 am »
Both my delegates www.minebitshares-com and www2.minebitshares-com have missed blocks yesterday/today without explanation for the first time.

They both run on Amazon AWS instances (Ireland and Sydney) and nothing has changed apart from upgrading to 0.4.16   :'(

I know delegate.liondani has also had similar issues.

Anyone else experience missing blocks for the first time, or have any troubleshooting tips?

The fact that 75% of daily volume in off-chain BTSX trading is in the BTSX/CNY pair intrigues me.

Sources:
http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitshares-x/#markets
http://www.sosobtc.com/kline/btsx/btc38.html

Can anyone explain it ... is it purely down to the genius of the Asian' marketing team and others like Bo Shen.

And if so, how can it be replicated around the rest of the globe?

29
With TITAN and registered names can I reliably ask miners to provide me with the 'Account Key' associated with their 'Registered Name' which they can find in the GUI under 'My Accounts' -> account -> Keys and then use blockchain_get_account to find out that registered name.

I'll then use this registered name in my wallet_transfer call to pay miners...
I understand I currently must use a registered name with wallet_transfer  API call as it does not allow transfers to  Account Key/Public Keys

Or does the 'Account Key' associated with a particular 'Registered Name' change regularly as part of TITAN?
I notice I have many public keys in my wallet when I issue
Code: [Select]
wallet_account_list_public_keys
i.e.
Code: [Select]
blockchain_get_account BTSX6LntkCfDLvwPrr13az5kYmivVYnJrSA7pmNF9kxNFFjeMqDgE7returns 'nethyb' as the registered name

Will blockchain_get_account BTSX6LntkCfDLvwPrr13az5kYmivVYnJrSA7pmNF9kxNFFjeMqDgE7 always return nethyb?

(Note: Asking miners to supply a BTSX address / Account Key - greatly simplifies the BTSX pool customation work I have to do in addition to providing basic obscufication of pool users on pool website reports)
