General Discussion / BTS 2970 on BTER? Glitch?
« on: December 01, 2014, 01:01:37 am »
BTER is showing that BTS dropped 43% and that the price is 2970. Nothing on the orderbook shows this, but the price feed is showing it. Is it a glitch?

General Discussion / Multiple accounts on the same wallet? Bad idea?
« on: November 29, 2014, 10:01:22 pm »
I think I saw somewhere on this forum something about having multiple accounts on the same wallet makes restoring a wallet a lot harder, and sometimes even impossible. Is this still the case? Should I only have 1 account on the BTS client?

General Discussion / Best BTS exchange?
« on: November 26, 2014, 05:26:48 pm »
What is the best exchange?

Poloniex seems to have really low ($400/day) trading volume, so that will not really work.
BTER charges a crazy 1% fee.

Has anyone approached a bitcoin casino, and pitched the revolutionary idea of PLAY? They could integrate their games into PLAY and have a truly decentralized casino.

Are there any plans on running a Bitshares faucet? Like give away 0.5 or 1 BTS per day to users.

General Discussion / Delegate voting question

When do you "vote" for a delegate? The whole time my Bitshares are sitting in my account or when I send my Bitshares to another account?

General Discussion / Are bitassets backed by nothing?
« on: November 21, 2014, 01:50:55 am »
Are bitassets backed by anything? I know they are pegged to the currency/commodity but are they backed by it?
Like with bitUSD is there actual USD backing it? Do the bitasset commodities have ETF's backing them?
I am having a hard time grasping this, so if someone could help me that would be awesome!  :)

General Discussion / Bitshares still unknown
« on: November 20, 2014, 09:43:37 pm »
I noticed that on other bitcoin/crypto currency forums Bitshares hardly ever gets mentioned, and most people still don't even know about Bitshares yet. Just an observation.

General Discussion / Most secure Linux distro for BTS?
« on: November 13, 2014, 01:17:04 am »
What is the most secure linux distro that I can use with BTS?

It would be awesome if the dev team was able to make an alternative to the TOR browser using the Keyhotee platform to provide completely anonymous, encrypted internet connections.

TOR is the only software that you can really use right now that offers this, and TOR is extremely controversial as there are some government spying nodes in the TOR network, and there are several theories that TOR has a backdoor. It would really bring a lot of attention to the Bitshares and Keyhotee project if this was implemented.

What do you think?
