BitShares PTS / Can we just move PTS to DPoS?

Either move it to a new blockchain using DPoS or issue it as an asset on the BTSX blockchain (would have to be snapshotable).

Mining PTS doesn't make much sense.

What will happen to the prediction market when nobody wants to short? We've seen the opposite case, when everyone is bullish on BTSX shorting was so popular we had to put rules into place that prevented shorting below a median price feed. So how about when we're in a downtrend and everyone is bearish on BTSX and wants into BitAssets?

How about letting users log in using a QR code?

Like this:

Click the QR code, camera window pops up letting the user input the password via a QR code. It's optional so it won't put up any extra barriers for the average user. This way I can use a very secure password, not have to remember it and not worry about keyloggers. I know it's technically possible to log video but this would at least make it somewhat harder for a hacker to go under the radar.

Perhaps an idea to consider (when we're ready for it) is to set up a faucet for anyone with a .edu email address. You could even target specific Universities.

General Discussion / One Blockchain vs. Many Blockchains

It seems this budding industry can go in one of two directions:

a) One blockchain that lesser blockchains plug into.
b) Many blockchains that stand on their own and "talk" to each other (i.e. DPoS).

Bitcoiners want BTC to be THE blockchain and everything else will plug into it.
Etherium wants it to be their blockchain.
BitShares wants everyone to use DPoS to create blockchains that stand on their own.

I'm here obviously because I see the BitShares philosophy as being the best way forward but would like to hear everyone elses thoughts on this.

Technical Support / Inconsistent Balances

The balance that displays when I send or receive a transaction (to the right of fees) is different than the balance that displays in the blue banner at the top (next to estimated yield). There is about a 20% difference.
