I asked Poloniex they said once BTS in my wallet there is no reason I cannot use them.
What kind of protection is this ?

No it is an account registered by openledger-reg  2 days ago, all BTS are unusable : a few withdrawals from poloniexwallet and another one from another of my accounts to test. Transfer in is ok but I cannot transfer out ("Failed to broadcast the transaction"). This is only for this account, the other one is ok.

Technical Support / Where is the problem from ?

Hi,

I am unable to transfert from one of my wallet ("failed to broadcast the transaction"). A gentle member here helped me to recover the private owner key so I'm less afraid to lose my funds now.

I would like to know whether it is a known problem under investigation or whether I am an isolated case. The private key seems right because I imported it in a new wallet.

I don't know the underlying mechanism of Bitshares 2 protocol, so can you confirm that while I have the private owner key I will be able to use my funds later whatever happens ?

Thanks

So I was able to import the private key to a newly created wallet but transaction broadcast failed again so I suppose it is a problem not in my wallet and I can wait for it to be resolved now I have the private key.

Thanks a lot well.attenuated, this is exactly what I was looking for.

The option to export a private key is still missing, but it's planned to add it. In the meantime, you can do this:

In the javascript console of your browser type, when the wallet is unlocked

WalletDb.getPrivateKey(PublicKey.fromPublicKeyString("BTS...")).toWif()

Where BTS is your owner public key. This can be imported into the CLI wallet or another web wallet.

Thanks a lot dude you saved my life !

This is working and I got a key for each account (a 51 characters long string). Can I expect by saving this 2 keys to have a way to recover my coins later ?

With a followed account, in transfer it is clearly wrote : Not your account and I can unfollow it. This is not the case with mines.

I can't understand there is no way to textually backup my private keys,.

Edit : solved

I have a problem with my wallet and I'm unable to look at my privates keys. I don't care the bugs for now if my BTS are safe but now I'm seriously starting to doubt. The only way to be sure all is right is to extract my privates keys from this binary wallet.

The two accounts are mine. One is imported from 0.9 and the other was registered by openledger-reg  2 days ago. I transfered BTS from poloniex to the second this morning.

How could I have an account not belonging to me in my wallet ?

No I also tried on a new computer. There is a problem with the wallet that's why I ask a way to recover the private keys, at least to verify all is ok.

I cannot use one of my wallet accounts (2 accounts in 1 wallet). It says "Failed to broadcast transaction."

How can I recover it ?

Is there a tool to decode binary wallet to something readable (json...) ?

So, I created a new account : ok

I sent a few BTS to this new account from my problematic wallet :
this wallet has two accounts,
one from 0.9 migration : transfert to new account ok
one created at 2.0 launch : transfert to new account "Failed to broadcast the transaction"

The new account is able to send to poloniex with BTS received from 0.9 migration.
and poloniex received BTS from new created account.

To sum up :
My wallet with 2 accounts is unable to send BTS with memo for the two accounts and unable to send with or without memo for the account created at 2.0 launch.
