Source code has been submitted to official repo as PR, hopefully it will be merged and deployed to OpenLedger soon.

Could you provide the pull request link?

General Discussion / Re: LOST BITSHARES / IDEA PROPOSAL
« on: November 13, 2015, 09:44:09 am »
So Ive noticed there has been changes to wallet recovery which is positive.

Ive not been able to recovery my tony-hughes account but with a backed up brainkey I've been able to recover 'tony-hughes-design' so that will be my bitshares wallet from now on.

I must add I tried to back up the brainkey this time to see how it works.. and unfortunately when I'm presented with this page

Create Backup
bts_default.bin (1377 bytes)

and try to click the bts_default.bin it dumps me to a new window in safari but no files are downloaded so the is some kind of problem there, unless the bitshares community are only using chrome or something. Once its dumped you to the blank window you don't get a second change to back up your brainkey so the is an issue here.

This could give any Apple OS X user the impression that their wallet might of been backed up somehow. Due to the fact they won't be given the opportunity to backup the brainkey again.

This is really an issue which needs to be resolved so others don't lose their brain keys / wallets.

But I see the whole openledger site going in the right direction.

The 'create backup' creates a backup wallet which is a binary file.  Save this binary file securely.

Fee pool balances w/ approximate BTS value now shown at the bottom of http://cryptofresh.com/reserve

Total BTA fees collected: approx 2,550,584 BTS

Can we have another graph that takes into consideration of accumated fees and fee pools?  Perhaps with an overlay?

Goal: Get CCEDK to provide fiat gateway (primarily for USD) as well as fiat to bitasset bridge

How do we incentivize CCEDK to provide fiat gateway for USD and bridge support for bitassets?

CCEDK is already doing that via OpenLedger's OPENUSD.  CCEDK is one of the most active partners, if not the most active, right now.

OPENUSD isn't registered by OpenLedger. Hopefully we can get them to be a USD gateway soon, however.

If you click on the asset, you will find that OPENUSD is described as 'USD backed by CCEDK'.  It was issued by angel on behalf of CCEDK.

I really do not know which issue to address first....

- no one voting for workers or committee members...well other than some 'angle's coming to vote for all the current status quo.
- no one knowing what the elected or candidate commute members stand for on each/any issue.
- or no one having any real incentive to become a committee member

I honestly have no clue which one is worse.

I think all of the above apply.   Do they need to be addressed in any particular order?

You are referring to the com members' proposal then.  Please vote for the committee members in this list - https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/board,102.0.html

bitcrab and clayop are voted-in ie they are active members.  The rest - fav, mindplux, bhuz, puppy and bitcube are not voted yet.  The non-active members need to be voted in and replace the inits in order to activate the proposal you are looking for.  To do so, we need support from BM and/or other big stakeholders.

I will take it.. but I will upgrade only and if that fee proposal is back.
What happened to the proposal for parameter changes, including Life Time Membership for 10K? it did not pass? How come?

There are not enough committee members supporting the requested change.  There are a total of 9 inits and 2 'real' committee members. In order for more than 2 'real' com members to be voted into this 11-member group, BM needs to support them and vote them in or other stakeholders with large enough stake (about 126M bts to overtake the inits) to vote for them.
Are you saying the 9 inits cannot vote it themselves or that this is a proposal NOT coming from BM?

I presume you are talking about the fee proposal by the committee members and not BM.  If you are talking about BM's proposal then I am on the wrong page.

The com members' proposal can only be voted in by the active (ie voted-in) committee members if they have > 50% members supporting it.
