Random Discussion / BitShares Freeroll Poker Site
« on: December 01, 2017, 05:33:14 am »
Hey everyone,

I've been running the Steem Poker League over at Lucksacks.com since "this Summer" and was curious, would anyone here be interested in playing in or hosting a BitShares Freeroll Poker Tournament?

Currently we only pay out in SBD, but I can easily set my site up to also payout in any other cryptocurrency and have been considering BitShares for a while as our first coin to expand into. But first I wanted to see if there was any interest?

Our current tournaments are funded via post on the Steem blockchain. We split the rewards 50/50 and the SBD goes towards the Freerolls, currently around 285 SBD per week and over 6,000 SBD total has been paid out. I have an automated batch payment script for the STEEM blockchain but assume it would be even easier to get it to work with BTS.

Looking forward to hearing from you and hopefully seeing you at a BitShares Freeroll soon!

Technical Support / Transfer ownership of account
« on: April 20, 2017, 06:09:23 pm »
The old instructions I found appear to be obsolete or perhaps I just haven't found the new instructions on how to transfer an account.

It appears that I can simply select the account I want to transfer > Permissions > Owner Permissions > enter new owner account name > set weight to 100%.

Is that correct or terribly wrong?

General Discussion / RESOLVED : Steemit Account Creation Issue
« on: May 07, 2016, 08:05:40 am »
Re: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,22125.msg291676.html#msg291676

I went ahead and made a new account for Mr. Carreras, but it's not showing up for some reason. It's been over 24 hours and Steemit continues giving a 500 error.

https://steemit.com/@geniscarreras-art

Any clues what I can do? It does not appear I can get back into the other account and now I can't get the new one to show up.  :-\

I emailed @ccedk  since I registered it through "steem-register" but have not heard back. I'd really like to get this setup asap so I can move on to the next person I want to introduce to Steemit.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

UPDATE : This has been resolved.

OpenLedger / OPEN.STEEM purchases on DEX gives different amount?
« on: April 28, 2016, 07:56:33 pm »
Why is it when I purchase OPEN.STEEM on the DEX and it says I'm going to get 100 OPEN.STEEM (even on the confirmation page) and pay the fee in BTS, I instead end up with 99.8 OPEN.STEEM each time?

I remember long ago when I thought quotes like the above would have the word BitShares within it.  :-\

I take back what I said about the referral program not "paying off", I believe were my words months ago.

Color me surprised, but with very few referrals I've had a nice percentage of LTM signups.
