General Discussion / Re: Cannot recover wallet backup
« on: March 08, 2015, 08:11:23 pm »
Hey. I have the same problem. I'm trying to restore a wallet backed up in version 0.4.24, but I get the same error. I am dead sure of the password, which does have special characters (nothing outside of what you can type on your standard english keyboard though. no spaces). I checked and the master key record type structure is correct. Using 0.4.24 doesn't work either, it still gives me the same error.... same with 0.5.3

No point thinking like that... They're not "enemies", they're our cousins in the crypto industry. Instead of trying to build a wall around you and give everybody the middle finger, it's better to approach people and work on common problems and build standards and interoperability where that is successful... Everybody in the same boat, buddy.

General Discussion / Re: Support BitUSD Price by Forced Covering at a Profit

This is history in the making.

I love that you guys are taking the time to dissect every idea and try to implement something that works.

You are operating well outside of the dogmatic belief systems that some people have on here, and you can only be cheered for it.

I think considering to implement multiple, different solutions might be more productive than to just try to get the one way that will work out of the box, because who knows what happens when it gets out of the box?

Good job guys, keep an open mind.

Just my two cents. The first thing that needs to be implemented is an auto update feature. This will ensure people are up to date on their version and we don't get the "Insufficient Depth" too much anymore.

General Discussion / Re: Good idea, but bad executor, BTSX is dying

It's extremely important for everybody downloading the wallet that everything works smoothly. We need all clients with the latest update to connect to the network and execute transactions. That's the bare minimum.

The dev team has everybody's support, they are doing a great job, these things happen, but the sooner we're up and running again, the better BTSX can make its case.

I, for one, welcome our new gateway overlords.

I look forward to see what kind of interesting new synergies and developments this partnership could bring. It's an interesting combination that offers many intriguing possibilities. Could you provide a few examples of what you might be able to achieve together?
