Hi,
Please see below URL to view pool balance and core exchange rate of bitUSD.
https://wallet.bitshares.org/#/asset/USD

Can you help me understand:
A. who is funding the pool balance of a smartcoin, such as bitUSD?
B. How is the core exchange rate being determined?
C. How often is the core exchange rate being updated?

General Discussion / Re: Why there's no BITJPY?

I understand that the market existed right from the start.

I meant, the market should be listed in the "featured markets" section.

Now that Japanese language is added to BitShares, I believe bitJPY should be added in featured markets to encourage Japanese users to trade markets like bitUSD/bitJPY. What do you guys think?

Thank you for adding the Japanese translations. I've confirmed that Japanese version is now live.

I have a question.

There are strings that are still in English, so I want to get these translated to Japanese as well, but I've realized that the string itself is not included in the original EN json file.

Just as an example, there is a phrase "Get 80% Cashback on Fees" and "Lifetime Members get 80% cashback on every transaction fee they pay and qualify to earn referral income from users they register with or refer to the network. A Lifetime Membership is just 110.80263 BTS." in the membership stats page as shown below.

However, the string itself does not exist on the English JSON file, so I am not sure how to translate such phrases.
(I understand that there are variables in these phrases, so I've tried to simply search for the phrase "cashback", but the phrase does not exist on the EN JSON file)
Can you kindly advise on how to translate such phrases?

Hi netdragonx,
Thanks for opening a new issue on Github.
I have placed the JSON file there.

Hi xeroc,
I've completed the Japanese translation.
Which developer should I pass this json file to, and how can I send it to that person? Email?

Hi BitShares Community,
I would like to know who to reach out to, to get a Japanese translation added to the BitShares (wallet.bitshares.org) GUI.
If you know the person to speak to, can you kindly let me know?

We are very much interested in translating the GUI to Japanese.

Hi guys,
I see that openledger now has the option to login as wallet model and account model.
Can you tell me if it is possible to "convert" an account that was initially created as wallet model to an account model?

Openledger / Problem restoring from brainkey
« on: February 06, 2017, 09:08:34 am »
Hi Openledger,
My client found a problem when restoring wallet from brainkey on Openledger.
When trying to restore from brainkey, the GUI allows you to enter wallet password and wallet name, but it does not allow you to enter the brainkey.
Instead of showing the brainkey entry textbox, a phrase "Fetching dictionary" is showing.

This does not occur on bitshares.org/wallet.
Kindly check, please.

I can now see that If I click on the link to https://bitshares.org/wallet/#/market/USD_BTS, I can view the USD vs BTS market without creating an account, but not on https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/market/USD_BTS.

A. Is it possible for https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/market/USD_BTS to behave the same way as https://bitshares.org/wallet/#/market/USD_BTS?

B. Who hosts the bitshares.org domain and the necessary servers to connect to the BitShares network?

C. Are the backup files created on Openledger compatible on bitshares.org and vice versa at any given time? Nevermind on this question. I've tried it myself and found backup file was compatible between these two.

General Discussion / Suggestion about DEX usability for guests
« on: February 05, 2017, 04:11:43 am »
I have been promoting BitShares to the Japanese community for some time, but I have been also receiving complaints from my clients saying that they cannot view the links (it's a link to a specific trading pair in openledger) I have been sending them.

I've consulted them further and found out that many of my clients were stuck because "they thought they can see inside the exchange before creating an account." Since Openledger does not allow one to view inside the exchange without creating an account first, they are stuck at stage zero. I have been telling them that account creation is free, but they still keep telling me that they want to see the exchange first.

When I put myself in their shoes, I'm starting to understand what they are talking about because other exchanges, like Poloniex and Bittrex, is viewable without account creation. Therefore, I am starting to think that there is a need for a "view-only mode for guests".

What do you guys think?
