I used https://wallet.bitshares.org and requested GDEX.USDT deposit address but received this invalid one:

Do GDEX.USDT deposit actually work ?
If yes then why the interface generates invalid address ?

I downloaded the latest version for Windows desktop:

But couldn't install it because Symantec AV detected a "WS.Reputation.1" threat...

Your dev team is aware of that ?

I couldn't find in the doc what "enable local wallet" does, could you explain ?
What key is displayed under Settings->Accounts->View keys->Owner Permissions->KEY ?

I signed up to bitshares exchange (wallet.bitshares.org) and bought some BTS.
Where is my private key (or passphrase) stored and how can I see it ?
I saw the "enable local wallet" option but what happens to my current wallet if I do that ?
