MemoryCoin / Re: >90% of network hashrate on mmcpool
« on: December 30, 2013, 09:43:53 pm »
Currently the top 50 Miners of MMCPool are making a pool hashrate of 15665 H/min. The current blocktime is 10.211 minutes and the difficulty is 0.00004202, which makes a total network hashrate of approximate 17675 H/min.

That's 89% of the estimated network hashrate just from the top 50 miners on that pool.

@mmcpool owners: Please, don't do evil stuff.

@miners: Think twice about choosing a pool. This coin will be much more healthy if we had 2 or more big pools not 1. Look out extasie.net [forum] and mmc.gpools.com [forum] both offer a 20 MMC reward for found blocks. 1GH [forum] has just issued a GPU miner. Don't tell me there are no alternatives!
I have to agree.

MemoryCoin / Re: What digitalocean plan to buy for mine mmc2.0

Probably L5639 is not the best option to mine MMC because it has 6 cores and you would make use of only 4 of them to mine MMC (it has to be power of 2)

You could use the 2 extra cores for PTS, XPM, or DTC mining.
Ok but if I have a 2x L5639 ?
I am using 32 threads not 16. 5,50 hpm (32) > 4,50 hpm (16)

They give me the server in less 12 hours.
But I don't make 15 MMC every day.
What is the right formula to calculate profit ?

L5639 have 6 core + 6 thread total 12 thread.

2x L5639 = 24 thread = 6 hp/m

2x L5639 = 70-100$

:)
Earn or cost  :D
I have a 2x L5639 at 70$ at month. Is it good in your opinion ?

Ubuntu 13.10 x64........DigitalOcean Droplet

After I pasted above code (with appropriate core values) and pressed Enter after all done, I am getting following error:

"/usr/local/mmcminer# nohup: ignoring input and appending output to ‘nohup.out’"

then it just stops there and if I press any key, it goes back to command prompt.

I am new to Linux...........help will be appreciated.

EDIT:
If I run directly run minerd........then I am getting following error:

"[05:52:45] 2 miner threads started, using MMC Momentum Proof-of-Work algorithm.
Segmentation fault (core dumped)"
Same error :(

I use the sinle command install. To start it ?

How to build it for Ubuntu?

Code: [Select]
# Install dependencies
sudo apt-get install build-essential autoconf libcurl4-openssl-dev

# Copy to local disk source code
git clone https://github.com/glitchman/mmcminer

# Configure and make
cd mmcminer/
CFLAGS="-O3 -march=native -mtune=native" CXXFLAGS="-O3 -march=native -mtune=native" ./configure
make
Sorry can you explain the instruction for Ubutnu ? When I make cd mmcminer/ it says mmcminer isn't a folder.
