Today we have only one more or less reliable block explorer for BitShares-PTS (without sources):

Because that is not good for BitShares-PTS I add BitShares-PTS support for Abe block explorer, the sources you can find here:

https://github.com/InvictusInnovations/BitShares-PTS-abe

You can see all changes in last commit.

Based on these sources I run and will keep working new block explorer at:
http://ptsexplorer.cloudapp.net

Please check how it's works and lets me know if you have any problems.

Доступна для скачивания новая версия кошелька BitShares-PTS 1.0.0 (aka ProtoShares), изменения в этой версии:
  • Ребрендинг в BitShares-PTS
  • Поддержка UPNP
  • Обновлены DNS seed (больше не будет проблем с синхронизацией)
  • Добавлен checkpoint
  • Fee возвращен к значению версии 0.2.0 (0.0001 за блок, т.е. почти всегда равен нулю)
  • Клиент для Windows скомпилирован с статическим библиотеками как один исполняемый файл без зависимостей
  • Поддержка TestNet
  • Команда getagsbalance
  • Нормальный установщик для Windows
  • Нормальный установщик для Mac OSX

Скачать новую версию можно с GitHub:

Если Вы пользовались конфигурационным файлом, не забудьте скопировать protoshares.conf как bitshares-pts.conf

Данная версия не работает с папкой AppData\ProtoShares а создает новую AppData\BitShares-PTS, поэтому wallet.dat Вам надо скопировать в ручную. Думаю это также хорошее время для того чтобы сделать его резервную копию.

С недавних пор произошли некоторые изменения в брэндинге BitShares, которые к сегодняшнему дню уже устоялись и поэтому я решил опубликовать данный пост. Итак, тереть BitShares это название всего семейства в которое входят:

  • BitShares PTS - ранее просто ProtoShares, акций для майнеров
  • BitShares AGS - AngelShares, акции для инвесторов https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=1896.0
  • BitShares X - флагманский бренд первого DAC распределенной биржи
  • BitShares DNS - ранее DomainShares, DAC распределенного DNS, своего рода аналог NameCoin. Буден запушен после BitShares X

BitShares PTS / ProtoShares client with getagsbalance command

getagsbalance command shows your wallet total AGS balance based on information from http://cryptoseed.cloudapp.net:81/agsbalances.json. If you just sent PTS to AGS donation address, they will be count only at the next day (after GMT 00:15)

To run the command in the ProtoShares client go to Help -> Debug window -> Console and type:
Code: [Select]
getagsbalanceor for verbose output
Code: [Select]
getagsbalance *
Command usage: getagsbalance [account]
  If * is specified, returns the verbose AGS balance of all addresses.
  If [address] is not specified, returns the total AGS balance of all addresses.
  If [address] is specified, returns the AGS balance of the address.
  Note: Result based on data gathered from http://cryptoseed.cloudapp.net:81/agsbalances.json

Я проверил, и выяснилось что официальные клиенты ProtoShares 0.2.0 и 0.4.0 для Windows откомпилированы без поддержки UPNP, это может быть основным источником проблемы «Не найден источник блоков». Поддержка UPNP есть в клиенте ProtoShares с поддержкой TestNet:

Если кто-то часто сталкивается с этой проблемой, пожалуйста, попробуйте эту версию и отпишитесь о результатах.

Появилась реализация клиента ProtoShares (на базе версии 0.4.0) с поддержкой TestNet, это удобно для проверки скриптов по переводу монет и для проверки скорости работы новых версий майнеров, правда для этого майнер должен поддерживать GetWork.

Technical Support / All official Windows clients of ProtoShares missed UPNP support

I investigate most common problem of ProtoShares "No block source available" and found what 0.2.0 and 0.4.0 ProtoShares clients for Windows compiled without UPNP support.

I think it's a main source of the problem as least for Windows version of the client.

BitShares PTS / ProtoShares TestNet support

I think the ProtoShares good enought coin to have TestNet implementation. Unfortunatelly it's wasn't implemented from begining and I don't think I need to explain here the advantages of TestNet support which we missed.
Now we have it implemented!

I already submit pull request to official ProtoShares repository and think it's will be accepted soon:

To test TestNet functionality I use build-in ProtoShares miner and GetWork Coyote Miner 0.3.0: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=573.0

To run ProtoShares client in TestNet use command:

Default TestNet RPC port is 13838. Because Coyote Miner 0.3.0 doesn't support port settings you need to add folowing lines into your protoshares.conf:

listen=1
daemon=1
server=1
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=*
rpcport=3838

When you can run Coyote Miner 0.3.0 as:
Code: [Select]
gw_miner.exe <IP address of wallet machine> user password
Coyote Miner 0.3.0 sometimes crashes, you can workaround this using .bat file:

:start
gw_miner.exe <IP address of wallet machine> user password
goto start
