So if I sent a few hundred PTS to an exchange to sell....and now they're stuck because the transaction has zero confirmations....I can't sell the PTS and I can't send the PTS back to my wallet to get a share in future DACs...this is pretty fucked...I come to the Bitshares message board almost every day and so no announcement about this....now it's going to cost me big time.

I totally understand...it's not a shot at you.  I've heard you communicate your ideas extremely well in radio interviews as well.  Obviously I believe in your ideas and what you're building here.  These ideas have very powerful implications.  I just think it's worth it, for the sake of the quality of your ideas and those that believe in them, to present them as professionally as possible.  I'm just one person here....but I think it's as objective of a voice as possible.

On the contrary, Dan did a great job presenting this. One of the things that attracted me to Invictus is that its stated aims are clear, and its development is done in an open and transparent way. Offensive? Really? I believe in Daniel and his ideas.  However he is not the best spokesperson.  He does not appear comfortable on camera and that can make the viewer uncomfortable.  I doubt that Daniel would have his feelings hurts by my comments.  This is not a cult....we are all here because we believe in what 3I are trying to do and we believe in the implications of this technology.  Presentation is important, and while the content is excellent, this presentation was very bad.  We're adults working towards the same goals.  Please don't try to silence legitimate criticism or fight imaginary fights.  Let's move forward together.  Thanks.

Think about the investor who had a limited amount of money and resources to invest in Protoshares because he believed in the social contract and the vision for the future.  Now that investor has tapped out his resources both mining and buying PTS.  He's made a financial calculation contributing a certain amount of limited resources for a certain percentage of shares.  Now what you're saying is that the percentage of equity that he has acquired will be much smaller than in the original social contract.

For those who are still in the process of acquiring PTS or who have vast resources to buy more PTS or to buy/mine more Angel Shares I can see where they might see the advantage.  For those who believed in the vision from the beginning, did the math, devised their investment strategy, and tapped out their remaining resources to fulfill it, your proposal leaves us with A. a devalued share as more shares are being created that in the contract B. no more resources to buy this new share.  I expect now to see PTS value plummet as the community's trust in Invictus to keep its word(which is what PTS value represents) is perhaps irreparably tarnished.  Perhaps well intentioned, but huge mistake.
