I've made several times as much in Monero now as I ever lost from Bitshares. :)

Congrats Ander. Good to see fellow community members doing well.

So what do you think, is it a pump and dump? I saw that AlphaBay & Oasis are supposed to be implementing XMR, which seems like a good step-up. I'm not convinced whether or not it'll be able to gain traction there though.

Not a pump and dump imo, it will go higher in time.  But of course that huge rise must be followed by a consolidation, as we are seeing currently.  700 or lower is the buy zone imo.

General Discussion / Re: Is Bitshares still growing?

Bitshares is growing.  Filled orders on the dex hit a new all time high today.  Account registrations are having a bump.

Steem is helping BTS.  And I believe in Bytemaster.  He had to work on other projects for a while because he had no choice, but eventually he will help BTS as well.

Still buying more here at 230.  Not sure when the next move up will start, but probably fairly soon.

Absolutely crazy. NEM over 100M, probably about as crazy as Bitshares over 100M was. :P

Seems like a good time to buy again here around 240.  Buy the dips and hold some long term.

Waves is below ICO because it isnt on polo yet I think.  Bittrex doesnt have much liquidity to absorb the people panic dumping.

Never short eth.  Never ever. :P

I've changed my mind.  Feel free to short eth at any time you hear about a critical flaw that let someone steal al lthe eth from a "smart" contract. Lol.

on a whim, I sent 0.1 btc to the ICO last minute.

last week I sold 250/276 waves for 0.15 btc.

I suck at trading, so I'm pleased with this 0.05 btc gain.

my thinking is now I'll watch what happens after it hits exchanges. if it has enough market cap to retain traction after the inevitable post release dump, I'll buy back in.

I feel like you easily could have gotten at least double that by just waiting for trading to open on polo.  And thne maybe waiting a day or two for the first pump.

(Only owned ~15% by the dev team).
"Only"  ???

Yeah I know.  15% owned by the devs is only low in comparison to Ripple. :P

I will admit that I haven't researched waves as much yet as I researched BTS, and its quite possible that I will find reasons why waves falls short of BTS in comparison.  BTS is working as a decentralized exchange, which is nice, albeit with low liquidity.

Maybe if waves does well, people will look at BTS as an underpriced alternative and it will have a revival.

Getting close to release.  Waves is the new BTS!  Lets see what it can do.

If by BTS you mean Ripple.. then I agree. :)

Well, its ALSO the new ripple, but not owned 80% by ripple labs.  (Only owned ~15% by the dev team).
