Special mention to the three coins that were on polo and got delisted on my list: I/OCoin, Rubycoin, and Supernet.

I randomly picked Rubycoin from your list and took a look at it. It has 1,200,000 coins pre mined and according to the block explorer https://chainz.cryptoid.info/rby/ there are only 3 nodes running - the owner of the 1,2MLN, the exchange and the block explorer is my guess... Good luck with your picks.

You literally picked the one I was least sure about on my entire list, but ok.  Dev is active in it, though not a lot of others are.

I can assure you thats not the case for most of the coins I listed, which have quite active communities.

If you make a mistake on one, well, thats why you diversify.

General Discussion / I/O Coin

I have recently discovered this coin (IOC) after it was delisted from polo.
It reminds me a lot of Bitshares and Syscoin, both of which I also like.   Roadmap is similar, but its market cap is far lower than SYS and BTS.
Has a major release coming within 2 months.   Dev team is very committed and purchased their coins with their own money, isntead of getting them in a premine.

This is imo a very very easy 10x at least once they release their product they have been working for over 2 years on.  Chart is also strong, the price is just above a very major support level that has held many times, but its currently cheap and has not yet pumped in this altcoin pump cycle.

This is like Monero sub 200k.

Its similar to Bitshares but all fees that the blockchain generates are paid directly to stakers, so you can also earn interest/dividends.  And the inflation is super low, below 1% a year.  I've been buying this 30-35k level.

I found out about it from a pro trader on his podcast, who was raving about it.

Also, I recommend this coinigy podcast, I've been learning a bunch of trade setups to look for from it.

Take profits imo.  We got a 10x from the 300 level.

Dont sell it all!  Just take profits and diversify.  Dont be the noob who is in just one coin and has to suffer through its bear phases (like I was in 2014!) :D

I am diversifying into a lot of things that have not had huge 5-10x pumps recently.
Well, a couple of these have risen a lot, but I like them.

Things I like now, by market cap:

Monero
Maidsafe
Stratis (wait for a pullback imo)
Siacoin
Syscoin
Komodo
Counterparty
Vertcoin
Ubiq
I/OCoin
Rubycoin
Burst
Supernet

Special mention to the three coins that were on polo and got delisted on my list: I/OCoin, Rubycoin, and Supernet.  Many of the coins that were delisted are crap, but these are NOT and it was a mistake for polo to delist them imo.  I researched the coins that were delisted because they all crashed, and these three stood out to me as being a mistake for polo to remove, and being undervalued due to the price crashing on delist.  Honestly they are all super undervalued now, entirely as a result of their delisting, which is the only reason they dropped.  I have been buying them since the delist.

IOC has a major release coming in the next two months.
Rubycoin was close to releaseing a trading app for poloniex (LOL polo), but will be doing it for bittrex instead.
Supernet is an NXT asset that holds a lot of crypto (IOTA, Komodo, etc), and is valued at well below the value of the assets it holds.

IOC and Ruby are on Bittrex.  Supernet sadly isnt and you have to go to NXT asset exchange to get it, so if thats too annoying you can skip that one.

Diversify whatever of your cryptos have gone 10x recently like BTS, and put 5% of that amount into each of them on this list, and hold the remainder in BTC or even USD waiting for an altcoin correction.  This is extremely likely to perform better for you and also be safer than remaining in one coin that has pumped.

Its funny that our new ATH in $$ still has us only in like 15th in crypto.  We were 3rd-4th back when that high was made.  Wow.

Yay! Ander's back!

Time to party!!

(Or time to sell?  :P)

I just sold what I had on polo for a 10x. :D

Still gonna hold the ones in BTS wallet almost forever, but its amazing that they are profitable again.  I had totally given up.

Well I don't know about you guys but I just bought another million bts.  8)

Sorry.

Stan pumped in a video that people "would be sorry" that they didn't buy bitshares when it was under a cent, meanwhile his son and company were dumping bitshares.  Dan got on a mumble in early 2016 and spouted off about how his new years resolution was to be a better leader for bitshares.  He quit the system 4 months later.

Dan and Stan also tried to pump BTS by saying it was a sharedrop target and anyone using the tech should sharedrop on the community.  They went and create steem using bitshares tech and abandoned the sharedrop idea... I guess sharedrops should only be done if it is benefiting Dan and Stan..

Not to mention all of Stan's "business" development projects... None of these ever worked out but were used to pump the price while him and Dan dumped.  Most were just cryptic bullshit forum posts that gave most of the larimer lemmings hard ons.

There is animosity toward Dan and Stan because they abuse shareholders... they have done it since the merger and I'm sure they will attempt to do it again.  It's usually around this time of year that they announce there next shareholder screwing idea.

Yes this.

Pretty much the sooner you got out of BTS the better, and the less you allowed Dan to ruin your life.  We should all of listened to NewMine, he was trying to save us all.

BTW, thanks for all the Monero stuff from long ago. You made me a nice sum of money with that tip. =)

Glad it helped. :)

Yeah, it made me whole again after bitshares.  Now I'm just trying to be diversified among a wider variety of crypto projects that dont seem like scams.

BIG Surprise for me, I even hold less than 2,500,000 BTS totally up to now. :-*

2.5M bts?  How much is that worth now, like 3 cents?

13

steem and peerplays are fine, e-dinar is a ponzi.

Steem is mostly a scam to me.  The platform is interesting, but the distribution is total bullshit, and Dan release the mining code with an error on purpose so that people couldnt mine it.  Who else did that?  Oh yeah, the Dash dev. :D

The scheme to get people to lock up their steem for a year to prevent selling, or else they are slapped with high inflation, was purely a scam to inflate price.

He didnt even tell the bitshares faithful about it in a legit way, he did it as a bullshit april fools joke.  The day I sold 80% of my BTS and stopped caring about bitshares was when I started making money in crypto lol.

Off the top of my head, here are a few:

Businesses: Transwiser has not been a scam. Blocktrades has not been a scam. MetaExchange has not been a scam.  OpenLedger has not been a scam (although some of its ICOs could be).

Workers: Svk, myself, Xeroc, cass, and others have run worker proposals that have not been scams.

At least we will never reach 100% rate of scams.  :) Good to see you posting, Ander!

Yup there were some legit people at least. :)

And am I posting now, or just trolling.  Feels like trolling. :D

BTS blockchain shouldve hired Amanda, lol.  Dash scam is doing great. with her pumping it.

Agree on the Amanda part, but why do you say "Dash scam"?

Is there some new "scam" info I'm unaware of or is this about the long ago debunked "pre-mine" stuff?

Because its 100% pure scam?  Starting from the premine, which is not 'debunked' as you say, but was very clear (with 2M coins mined in days), and also because everyone with any technical knowledge knows its crypto is highly suspect.  And mixing will never actually provide privacy.

Fluffypony's video which was linked in this thread outlines it well.

Just because its highly priced now doesn't mean its not pure scam.
