MemoryCoin / Android Apps - Suggestions From the Community
« on: January 25, 2014, 06:13:59 am »
So, you've elected a mobile apps company owner as your CMO.
Nice, let's utilize it!

I would like to create a developer account for MemoryCoin with apps that you think will prove useful, mainly to get people more interested in the coin and to ease the lives of the people using it.
My first project (actually, a very small one as it's based on another open sourced project) is a price ticker widget. This will be released today (or maybe tomorrow as my little one is 1 year old today. PARTY! :) )

Please suggest anything you have in mind. I don't promise I'll do everything you suggest, as it will be done on my free time, but I'll prioritize according to what I think is cost-time efficient and will create a poll if there are many suggestions.

Shoot.

Hi all,
I've approached a number of charities that accept Bitcoins for donations and tried to get them to accept MemoryCoin for donations as well.

This is the first one to join as you can see on this page:
http://spices.org.my/be-involved/donations/

Their voting address is:
MVTEchaqyCuu8RsP5kMYMuTbxRrwZ2jmtQ

If you want the charity money to go directly to them, send 1 satoshi to MVTEchaqyCuu8RsP5kMYMuTbxRrwZ2jmtQ
If you want donschoe to decide where the money goes, send the 1 satoshi to him
If you want one of the other options (Horizontality, Peace Geeks, Sean's Outpost), send your 1 satoshi to the other options.
BUT PLEASE VOTE!
Most of you aren't using their voting power and that's a real shame...

MemoryCoin / BitCoinTalk post

Just posted on Bitcointalk:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=410012.new#new

If you want to help, write a nice positive comment about the coin (not all at once :) ) to keep the post on top and get more attention.
More attention -> More exchanges -> More buyers -> More value!

MemoryCoin the Charitable CryptoCurrency

By MemoryCoin User
January 08, 2014

Los Angeles, CAThe MemoryCoin community announced today that any charitable organization that wishes to become MemoryCoin's Official Charity, can publicly declare itself a candidate to receive a 1% donation of all coins mined; as of today this amount of MemoryCoins translates in to about a few hundred dollars a day.

Like other cryptocurrencies MemoryCoin promises to empower the economically and financially marginalized, allowing individuals to participate in the internet economy even when they live in countries where credit card companies and PayPal refuse to operate. Individuals can store and transfer wealth with just a memorized pass phrase.

Cryptocurrencies like bitcoin received a lot of media attention last year after many early adopters became millionaires, but with the creation of new, faster and specialized chips, mining these other cryptocurrencies are no longer accessible to the average user. MemoryCoin is different said one MemoryCoin user

About MemoryCoin

Community members claim that MemoryCoin decentralizes currency mining. While Bitcoin mining requires the use of expensive, specialized hardware, MemoryCoins are efficiently mined on ordinary computer hardware like PCs and laptops. Anyone can download a program and start mining MemoryCoins.

Decentralized mining is said to ensure:

•   a wider and fairer distribution of the currency
•   easier to obtain – anyone with a computer can do it
•   participation for the economically marginalized – individuals don’t require an account with a bank or exchange – anyone can mine new coins with a PC by consuming electricity

MemoryCoin Grants

A member of the MemoryCoin support team said that the programmers built MemoryCoin With charity in mind integrating a special sequence in to the cryptocurrencies algorithm than ensures that 1% of all newly mined coins are earmarked for charity, these charities are voted for by MemoryCoin holders.

The destination of another 5% of all newly mined coins are also voted for by MemoryCoin holders, these coins are used to finance the MemoryCoin infrastructure, and other tasks including marketing, programing, and support thus ensuring the growth of the MemoryCoin ecosystem.

MemoryCoin / What to Focus on?
« on: January 07, 2014, 10:38:58 pm »
Hi guys and gals,
Please answer this poll to help the new CMO (hopefully myself) understand where the community wants the most focus in the next few days.

MemoryCoin / [CMO] My Candidacy for CMO as a Team Leader
« on: January 07, 2014, 06:16:47 pm »
Dear MMC2 community,
I would like to offer myself as a team leader for the CMO role.
As it's been almost a month since the coin's release, I believe the CMO role was held long enough by people that haven't done enough to MARKET the coin correctly.

Who am I?
I'm a 35 year old entrepreneur from Israel.
From 2005 to 2011 I was the CEO of a successful mobile games company and for the last 2.5 years I've managed my own successful mobile apps company.

What will I do differently?
There is no question that the biggest failure of this coin is its marketing.
While Belltown's work on memorycoin.info is great, I really see this as the first very small step towards marketing the coin.
I will use the salary for this role to:
1. Recruit a team with marketing background
2. Create bounties for reputable bloggers, graphic designers and other media related personnel to help level-up the coin.
3. When the time comes, use the grant for actual advertising withing the crypto-currency community (we're not there yet, but might be there in 2-3 months).
4. Use my mobile industry experience to create some useful MMC2 apps that will distinguish us from the other crypto-currencies.
5. Create giveaways and faucets and publish them on forums so that more users download the wallet and join the community.
6. I will not, under any circumstance take the whole salary for myself claiming I worked hard for it. This salary should be divided between several members / outsourced for marketing purposes and earned through hard work and that's exactly what I intend to do.

How do you join the effort?
PM me with your experience, skills and plans for the coin and we can discuss your addition to the marketing team.
Note that since the funds are used to fund MARKETING of the campaign, I will not add more than 2 other team members so that the remainder of the funds will be used for all of the above mentioned actions.

How do I vote?
Voting is easy: Send 1 satoshi (0.00000001) MMC to MVTEcmodH7do4V47ht1U9AXQKMouqYNAYM

Thank you for your time and good luck to this coin!
In the right hands it should see a bright future.

MemoryCoin / Vote for MMC2 in Cryptsy's offical poll!
« on: January 01, 2014, 09:47:10 am »
Hi guys,
Please vote for MemoryCoin (they got the coin abbreviation wrong as MEG) to be added on Cryptsy:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=309704.0

This is guaranteed to add at least 100% in value for the coin.

If you don't have a Cryptsy account yet, register here:

Good luck!

EDIT: Just noticed that it's a very old post... Not sure if relevant.
