What happened: All4coins sent several PM with a link to a supposed "PTS messenger", but it seems to be a trojan keylogger.

Hey yago,

i would like to support PTS.
I´m a programmer and was thinking about what could be a nice unique feature for a coin.
Now i have codet a PTS messenger.
It´s a messenger like msn or icq but here u will add people with ur wallet id.
And u can see the btc & PTS price everytime.
Also i´m thinking about a giveaway option like "for every day using messenger = 0.01 PTS or something".
Also i linked ur domain, qt download and other stuff of PTS in the messenger.

Additional Notes: Tested that exe on virustotal, raised a lot of keylogger flags:
https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/761f1927eb3ae938b99fc15a885f0c821d73410406cd9ec215abd3ae30fcfefb/analysis/1388398539/

Malwr dynamic analysis:
https://malwr.com/analysis/YzliN2NlMGUzZTAyNDY4Yzk0OTA2NDk4ZjJlNmZlMDQ/

It tries to connect to flowfawfafwf1.no-ip.biz, collects information to fingerprint the system and installs itself for autorun at windows startup.

Seems that this guy is trying to steal other alt coins too:

I think that we should post it, even without solid proof.

If you want, I may post it.

General Discussion / Re: VanityDAC - Generate Vanity Addresses
« on: December 17, 2013, 04:11:52 pm »
This problem has been solved. Take a look at 'vanitygen' for bitcoin and specifically the 'keyconv' program that comes with it.
This post on bitcointalk.org explains the process pretty well:

Cool, thank you!

If a miner generate the private key for a vanity address, how do you keep it private?

Miner pass it to the final user and who can assure that the miner doesnt keep a copy?

I am thinking about the child board in Alternative DAC. It should be encouraging for other devs.

+1, that would be the place.

And I think that would be nice to offer the moderation of that subforum to FreeTrade.

ACK, thanks!

Beware: username faking via Unicode homoglyphs is possible.

Hope that scammers do not exploit that, but just in case...

Read the advisory here:

Also, you may use some EC2 spot instances to mine those PTS and then pay Amazon on Jan, 5.

I know that you're working on it, but just in case... http://bitsharestalk.org doesnt work, https does.

BTW, would be nice to have http to https redirect. Something like adding this line on httpd.conf:

Redirect permanent / https://bitsharestalk.org/

Hola,

Primero tienes que elegir una piscina de minado. Luego ir al sitio web de la piscina y pillar el cliente para linux.
