Technical Support / Limit vs Market orders
« on: January 18, 2018, 01:52:15 pm »
Hi all,

as I understand the bitshares api, we can only make limit orders. The counterpart has to meet exactly my order to be executed.
That's why if I have a a limit order to sell one BTC at 100 000 usd on the market, and then, someone places a buy order for this price (for a very low amount), the market will show a very high transaction.

Is there a way to execute market transactions on bitshares market (even if it's dangerous, I understand) ?

Thanks for your support.

Technical Support / transaction signing example
« on: January 09, 2018, 03:37:09 pm »
Hi All,

On the bitshares githuub, there is the transaction signing example missing on this page.
https://github.com/bitshares/bitsharesjs (see at the bottom)

Is there anywhere a place where I could find it?

Thanks in advance for your support.

General Discussion / bitUSD - USD - open.USD => what's the difference
« on: January 04, 2018, 08:54:20 pm »
Hi All,

As I'm exploring the possibilities to use BitShares, I realized that it's not very clear when it's about Fiat currencies.

On openledger, there are USD and open.USD
On bitshares.eu, there is bitUSD, and I can't find anything else.

Then, on the white paper, I understood that it's possible to make smarts coins, that are worth 1 USD or 1 EUR, but they are not real USD or EUR. I did really understood where the value is stored (in some contracts, but I did not really understand the mechanism).

Can someone explain me why the assets are not named the same on these two platforms?
Can someone explain to me the difference between USD and open.USD?

Thanks in advance for your support.

Meta / Bitsharestalk mailer
« on: January 03, 2018, 08:41:42 pm »
Hi,

This is for the one in charge of the maintenance of the forum.

I tried to create an account with another email address, and I never received the confirmation email.
My mails are however hosted by a well known Swiss based hosting company, and it seems that the mailer system of Bitsharestalk cannot send any email to this provider (infomaniak) => email would be ngenko at btc-consulting dot org

I therefore created an account with an email that I actually do not use much... can someone assist?

Thanks.

Technical Support / Creating a DAO with Bitshares
« on: January 03, 2018, 06:52:38 pm »
Hello,

In order to create a true decentralized autonomous organization, I would like the token holder of the organization to be able to vote on various topics.
Is there a way to associate votes with a token that I create on Bitshares?

Thanks for your support.
