find some like that

"Technology of Bitshares X
One of the most famed aspects of Bitshares X is the DPOS, or Delegated Proof of Stake. Delegated Proof of Stake is much like a voting system, users centralized their power to a limited number of 100 representatives. The top 100 delegates, by total votes, take turns generating blocks on a defined schedule. If they do not produce a block then their slot is skipped and the next delegate in line produces a block. All delegates receive pay equal to 10% of the transactions fees included in the average block. If the average block contains fees of 100 shares, a delegate will receive pay of 1 share."

if i'm not from 1 to 100 position i'm not able to generate block and i can't collect shares as reward.
So i think is not good to register as delegate.

..for now

can someone with a simple guide explain why i need to pay "Registering as a delegate costs extra: 14.38973 BTSX" to register as delegate?
What is the revenue when i'm registered as Delegate.
I'm able to get a POStake?
I just understand it is usefull for btsx mining and producing block?

And also.. how i can backup my BitShares X wallet?

i don't see classic wallet.dat under "AppData\Roaming\BitShares X" folder.

thank you in advice to every one who can explain better the situation with simple words a non english mother tongue!!!

You can not deposit right now your BTSX to any exchange because nobody has a BTSX wallet with valid BTSX address.(that includes exchanges and individuals)
You must wait the announcement of the original BTSX chain and then download the wallet from bitshares.org (the wallets on existence right now are only test/beta wallets with XTS "fake"coins)
The exchanges have made only tradable the number of BTSX they will receive in future because their customers had PTS there on the snapshot day 28/2/2014(so they know allready how much BTSX they will receive) . So right now we are talking about IOUS and not real BTSX. Even if you buy BTSX from the exchanges you will not have the option to withdraw them for the exact same reasons(only after BTSX is official out). When day is come you will get the correct number of BTSX (scaled up x500) on your personal BTSX wallet and then you can sent them where ever you want.... (correct me please if I am wrong toast)  :)

thank you very much liondani!!!!

really a good explanation  +5% +5% +5% +5%

Just think of it in terms of %.  So yes, all balances everywhere will be scaled up.

toast just to understand.

i have 1000btsx from 2.28 snapshot.

if i deposit on bter they automatically scale up my 1000btsx to 500000?
or i do need to do somethings to scale up?

thank you.

That would be great to people who trusted you by holding their PTS whose value dropped :)

sure.. i hope bitshare_PTS Devs find some solution to avoid this huge falls!!!
...and to attract miners again too!!!

data just taken:
=====================
Blocks to retarget: 3486
Measured: 13.54%
Estimated difficulty: 0.01098581 (26.65%)
Time to retarget: 62d 01:13:09 (2014-06-24 01:04:31 UTC+9)

There is a aptly named sticky thread: BitShares X Status Update Thread 2.0, which last post suggested
Quote
Initial testing shows that aside from some user interface and RPC updates BitShares XT is very close to being able to launch making the Feb 28th snapshot liquid.

thanks david.

Hi for the time being, if you are using ubuntu you can follow this intructions to build it in the post below, also if compiling from scratch is not your thing, I will put daily build links in that post.

maybe some updated news for Bitshare X wallet for windows?

101
Correct me if I'm wrong but if now since the total hashing power of the PTS network is dropped significantly, will difficulty not auto adjust down at the next retarget? So all miners should just chill for a month and come back mid-April. :-\ (Obviously keep some seed nodes up.)
from specification...

Specifications
POW Hash: Momentum (2^26 / 2^50) with SHA512 Generation
Block target: 5 minutes
Difficulty Retargeting: 4032 Blocks
Difficulty Retargeting target: 2 Weeks
Port: 3888
Codebase: Bitcoin 0.8.5
No premine.
Block reward: 50 PTS, 5% reduction every 2016 blocks
Total coins: Around 2 million, with 1% inflation after 2 years

if i understand, retarget every 14days...but last retarget date was 22 feb 2014, so retarget would was on 9 march 2014, but it was not...
can you explain me plz???

no bitshare for pts after snapshot is taken!!!

BitShares PTS / Re: China seems to have taken an interest in PTS...

if so it'is better to get btc for pts now without wait for the opportunity to redeem bitshareX after 20 frebruary?
get some more argument to decide to us!!!

ty

unosoiondovo, I'm planning to do a little of both. I don't have enough cash to bet everything on BitsharesXT, so I'll sell some of my PTS right before 28 February, and then re-invest some of that money in PTS once the price crashes. That way, I get some BitsharesXT, but I also get a chance to invest very cheaply in future Invictus projects.

If the PTS price really crashes after 28 February, that suggests that people view BitsharesXT as a very strong bet, so the Bitshare price will probably rise very quickly in the first few days. So if all you want is BitsharesXT, it shouldn't matter very much whether you buy them now (by buying PTS) or after 28 Feb (by buying BTS directly). In fact, the only good reason to wait to buy after 28 Feb is that you'll get to see if BTS works and save your money if it fails. I think we can all agree that if BTS works, i.e., if BitUSD really tracks fedUSD, that it will become very valuable very quickly.

i think to do something like this.
i sell befor 28 february 50% of protoshares and i get the high value reached in this days.
So i get secure gain now.
If pts value after 28 frebruary fall i have however some gain from pts selled and maybe from btsX.
If btsX will be judged wrong project by the market or with high chance of failure, I will however the gains obtained from the sell of protoshare before 28 February
We can not know what will be.
if anyone else has ideas to expose, I will hear :-)
