Yes.

Some people interpreted the blog post as an official release announcement .. my fault

If you want you can read a draft version of "how to become a witness in the testnet"
https://github.com/bitshares/bitshares.github.io/blob/master/_drafts/howto-become-a-witness.md
feedback appreciated

Great work xeroc!

But for me, one thing is unclear.
Under "Basic Account Management",

Code Select Expand

unlocked >>> import_key <accountname> <wif>
true
unlocked >>> import_balance <accountname> [5........] true

Does <wif> mean the owner key starting with 5?
And [5......] means private key for each address that contain balance?

I reformulated the text a little to clarfiy the difference between <owner wif key> and <balance wif key>
https://github.com/bitshares/bitshares.github.io/commit/54aba84a4b81715184326eeaa5db96a703bec4ee
Hope it helps

soon means how long?

Not sure but probably in a few days IMO.

soon means how long?

It seems that July 31 testnet ends and devs are preparing public testnet for delegates. Cannot wait to join the testnet :D
