Symbols starting with bit will be banned and all upper case will be enforced.

somebody already registered BITUSD ....

How to deal with that ? hard fork ?

For now there is no plan other than leave it in place. I don't see how any of this is a real problem anyway. Assets should be filtered client-side no matter what.

suggestion :  symbols longer than 6 letters can have the same name by multiple person , so people will trade base upon who the issuer is , like NXT AE . People lost the incentive for grabbing names like crazy .

Another reason for this ,  if some user grab all the good name of the big companies , the big companies would lost interest to use the asset market .

See BMs reply above.

Not sure if it requires a hardfork ..

Sure ,  it can be banned .... But wouldn't the guy paid 500 BTS for that complain ?  haha

Expected that, there are too many user assets "bit" just registered, definitely more complains and accusations.

Too late for this notice, the code should prevent all these.

Suggestion:
Add suffix * on every user issued asset symbols.

Good.  No BlTUSD's with a lowercase L instead of an I. :P
(Because you just know a scammer would do that).

They will now be BLTUSD... one token is redeemable for 1 USD worth of a BLT sandwich.

The GUI will COLOR CODE bit assets.

Probably this is not enough, if someone send you 1000 bitUSD, it's difficult to tell whether this bitUSD is the pegged USD or just user issued asset, especially to new users who are not familiar with all those stuff.

Agreed. There should be no ambiguity. Perhaps some mechanism/flag to distinguish between 'user' created assets and 'system' created assets. I realize bitUSD, bitGLD etc are ostensibly user created, but they were done by the development staff at/near Bitshares(x) inception. Perhaps some consensus marker similar to voting for a delegate to ensure the duplicate/nonsensical and just pointless assets never get viewed unless you explicitly go looking for/ask bitshares to show them. And of course, all the spam assets that will be created to pray on those not paying attention "BittUSD", "BtUSD" "BittUSD" etc...horrible.

Besides, all these extra 'assets' make an awful mess. The average user will want to have all the 'noise' pre-filtered and only left with the unambiguous 'authentic original' assets.

It would be sufficient to priorize the markets by volume .. when listing them to the user
very good and simple idea ...
I add to that that it should be obvious to recognize  the difference between user assets and hard implemented assets with a graphic next to the asset that clearly "speaks " what to expect...
