I have mined enough on those crappy nvidia cards to know that, All you need is this :
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=167229.0

It gets updated regularly, so check for newer versions often.
no special "setup/config" is required & it uses "auto-tune" by default which only takes 1min.

Get latest drivers preferably & use MSI afterburner for overclock.

i guess that bounty is gone, lol

Correct, opencl on nvidia.. not that good... Cuda much better, yet not great!
To set it up, you need the good drivers and a cuda miner, an opencl one would not work.

If you want to mine with nvidea cards you should be using cuda miner, more info here:

I've never used cuda for mining though so I don't know how to set it up properly

I know nvidia GPUs are garbage in mining I am just testing it out. I've never mined using a GPU.

Basically trying to mine scrypt coins using a GPU.

No offense but if you have never mined on a  nvidia GPU it won't work. This will be done on amazon EC2 service and I get charged a hourly rate. I wasted quite abit trying to figure it out, so looking for someone that knows how to set it up without problems.

If you have did it before let me know.

Thanks.

What are you trying to mine ? LTC, BTC and such?
If so you are only going to waste your time and money, nvidia's gpu aren't very good for that...
If you really want to try, pm me and we'll figure it out.

Hey guys, i know this isn't related to PTS mining but I really need help. I've spent 2 days trying to mine using a GPU but nothing is working for me.

I am testing it on an amazon EC2 instance, a GPU instance. It runs nvidia GPU cards (Tesla) and I tried cgminer.

I followed the guide with the miner but getting errors and doing everything told in the guide but with no luck.

Anyone that can successfully set it up and get it running will get 1 PTS.

Please only people who actually used it before with nvidia GPU cards.

Private message me or post here if you can help me out.

Thank you.
