If the faucet has sufficient balance you can use it to register your account and pay afterwards.

Also, using the CLI client you can import your old private keys without registering an account. Not sure if that works in the GUI.

(But without the passphrase of your old wallet you can't access your old private keys, which makes this a somewhat academic exercise.)

IIRC you'll receive ~500 new PTS for each old one.

Hello everyone!

Ive been away for a long time from this project and yesterday I decided to update myself as I own a small amount of PTS. The amount I have is in the old version of the wallet (1.0.0) and I have downloaded the new wallet and created an account (primary, PTS8LR6U6HXu8PuYrQF1QFedKfLtgkfd8RzaKUy3HYiPsub26DBXZ).

Ive tried to import my old wallet to the new one using http://pts.cubeconnex.com/wiki/index.php?title=Import_Keys_from_Wallet but it doesn't let me due to unfunded account. I can't use the "normal" import method because I don't remember my passphrase, but I do have the wallet open. I need my account to be funded but I don't understand one thing, when did the scaling of PTS happen? Because I have around 30 PTS and if the fee is 25 PTS then maybe its not worth converting to the new wallet. I can't either use http://faucet.cubeconnex.com because they want 120 PTS. Am I missing something?

What is the best thing to do here?

BestRegards

Can anyone send me some PTS so I can register my account and get funds off BTER? I'll gladly hook you up with extra PTS if you help me out.

1 post above yours:
It would be nice if you could try our new registration faucet: http://faucet.cubeconnex.com/

Glad you're PTS is happily in your wallet.

Onceuponatime sent me (and loads of other people) BTS to register my first account, and I've received tech help whenever needed from people on both BitShares and PTS forums.  It's my pleasure to pass that along where I can.

If you have other questions or would just like to check it out, the PTS forum is http://pts.cubeconnex.com/index.php
