The Chinese community has been providing chain file downloading service for a long time. It works in Windows with no problem.
Upgrade the client to most recent version, full sync, quit the client, zip the chain folder to a file, and upload it to somewhere, then other users can download and use it directly (in same OS and same client version). Not tested with different OS though.

Make sure to have the client shutdown when creating the torrent and archive

I want to provide a snapshot torrent of the current Blockchain.

What files should I include in order to make it work? The full  /chain folder?
