First step , find a "broker-dealers" crowd-funding platform that's regulated by the SEC .

Second step , convince them to use BitShares .

Assuming these steps went well  .

Then if they decided to trade the shares in the BitShares chain , then they may become an on-ramp/off-ramp portal for fiat .

Does that also mean the said platform has to apply for a "Money Transmitter License " in the US ?

"All individuals are now free to participate but can only invest up to 10% of their net worth."

"Stock offerings open to crowdfunding will still need to be "qualified" by the SEC"

"Online equity platforms will still need to be registered with the SEC as "broker-dealers," which means they will be regulated financial institutions"

Still, this should allow a great deal more flexibility for centralized startups wishing to issue securities as UIAs powered by BitShares.

Apparently it does. http://mashable.com/2015/03/25/equity-crowdfunding-sec-vote/

This means we can change our whole strategy and do equity crowd funding. Bitshares could allow us to own real companies through crowd funding. I also wonder what this will do for Swarm.co? Their price should go way up on this news.

It means we can do distributed technology funds legally now.

If that article is accurate and it means what I think it means....  OMFG!!!!!  :o :o

Also what does it mean for the Bitcoin ETFs? Couldn't a Bitshares ETF now be started easily? Someone ought to put this news up on Reddit.

Does this mean non-accredited investors can take part in crowd funding? If that is the case then it's the best news we've heard all year.
