SourceForge is broken since yesterday...

What On Earth is going on?
The sourceforge.net website is temporarily in static offline mode.
Only a very limited set of project pages are available until the main website returns to service.

I just started looking at an interesting project a few days ago (never really paid attention to SourceForge before) and SourceForge has broken!

What are the differences and similarities between github and sourceforge? I'm not knowledgeable.
Hopefully shit like this will be avoided in the future as things progress with the decentralisation and anti-fragility type movements...
