Anyone who hasn't taken advantage of the low MUSE prices only has themselves to blame. I thought I was getting NOTEs at fire sale prices back during their fundraiser. Heck, I was donating to AGS back near the beginning of BitShares, buying up PTS also, and my main reason for doing so was to get in on the Music DAC. Since they opened up the MUSE token, we've had months and months of even lower rock bottom sale prices.

I'm not giving investment advice, but this might be your last chance for awhile, people.

Good luck

There is a little extra liquidity here too

https://bitshares.openledger.info/?r=by24seven#/market/OPENMUSE_TRADE.MUSE

Hmm it seems not make sense since both OPENMUSE and TRADE.MUSE are UIAs (not smartcoins) so they should have the same value.

Two assets with different demand can easily end of with different rate. Its all in the demand and what users aready to pay. I see for instance OPENMUSE sold at 6 to 1 bts, and a little later 2.8 to 1 bts, so tehre has been a lot of change in price today.

And if you want, you can use CCEDK or Blocktrades to convert from OPEN- and TRADE- to your MUSE wallet. See the deposit/withrawal screen in your BitShares wallet.

Is buying openmuse the same like buying muse?

Edit
I mean the rise of the price, will it be the same?

OPENMUSE and TRADE.MUSE is 1:1 token of real MUSE. So their prices represent MUSE price.

Nice!  +5%

I believe that the news is in the pipeline, within this week.

I fear these lower prices are coming to an end once news starts flowing, screenshots posted and eventually product rollout. It's a good news bad news situation for a trader.

Also note that if the price of BTS goes any direction .. the price for MUSE (against BTS) will fluctuate as well ..

Sometimes, it's quite frustrating to be trading everything against the BTS price rather than something less volatile. Over time, there should be less volatility as volume grows.

MUSE price is kept such a high level just because there's a whale, nothing else. when the whale move out, the price will fall.

Technical observations are basically irrelevant when there is news to trade on. We think news is coming soon with MUSE and that it could be sufficient to significantly affect the price. Therefore, good traders will either: (a) anticipate and trade on that news, or (b) ignore technical signals, sit on the sidelines, and wait.

Considering there's not even a product yet, I don't know why people are really that concerned. Bust or boom type product, we will see.

A lots of buy support exist around 0.21 BTS/MUSE. I think 0.2 will be the bottom.

There has been some dumping lately. Hopefully that will end soon.

I picked up another 1 BTC on Metaexchange earlier tonight.  I think the dumping is due to impatience which is understandable. There's a lot of good lessons learned from BitShares that we'll be able to implement once the ball gets rolling.  Sometimes I wish there was more transparency on the progress, however, that would probably hurt my ability to buy at these rates.  :P

Once we get the the Coinmarketcap api to show accurate information, it will give people a reason to get excited about MUSE. Right now, it's not even showing up in the ranking on Coinmarketcap.  Roadscape mentioned it in the link below.

https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,20429.msg263562.html#msg263562

I reported to CMC the api endpoint (http://muse.cryptofresh.com/api/cmc). Hopefully they will fix it soon. Muse is now about 23th or 24th I think.

I really want to like BTER. They have been good to BTS in the past and I met a couple of them in China. I think they are struggling with liquidity and are therefore short staffed and just not able to address....much. They haven't made a BTC-B payout since the end of July and there is no sign of any more coming. I remain hopeful but it's challenging.

In my opinion Bter is the biggest scam still operating in the cryptocurrency ecosystem to date and their death cannot come soon enough.

The only way they can continue to operate is by stealing from the plankton to give to the whales.

Actually I think cryptsy is the biggest scam still running (they are bigger than bter I think).  Well, if you count their current state of not allowing withdrawals in btc and many alts, and everyone trying to get value out of cryptsy at any cost.

Maybe all the MUSE that I bought at .15 BTS will eventually save my BTS investment.

y u no get it free like the rest of us?  :P

bter still has my 'free' MUSE.

Have they given any indication of ever honoring those old sharedrops?

BTER support continues to ignore my request to honor these sharedrops.

Lack of arbitrage is the problem, isn't it. And this 'should' solves it.

it's a UIA, not a pegged asset, so you have to do it the old fashioned way:

borrow some from your trusted friend, sell it on the open market, then return the shares at a later date.
You own the network, but who pays for development?

Price is being settled around 0.40~0.50 BTS/MUSE.
Trading volume is very low in both markets but TRADE.MUSE:BTS market seems more liquid (and has a higher price)
If you want to buy MUSE, please compare these two markets first.

Hmm. Who/what sets the price continuously, in that case?

For Trade.Muse? ? BTS:Trade.Muse is a market where individuals buy/sale Trade.Muse for bts

So the market determines the price of Trade.Muse...

Aren't these pairs dependent on blocktrades / openledger to stick around ? If we have (bit)USD, why not simply (bit)MUSE? What's the (dis)advantage?

bitMUSE requires additional price feed information and it may lack liquidity at the moment.

Where does the price feed for BTS:TRADE.MUSE come from?

there are no price feeds on User Issued Assets which TRADE.MUSE is.  Smart Assets such as bitUSD require a price feed so they can be shorted into existence

sucks that what small liquidity there ends up being is going to be spread between trade.muse and openmuse.  We really need to solve this and combine the order books

Really wish they would have thought of this and all gateways issue one asset but it tracks what gateway it came from so when you cash out it automatically goes to whatever gateway it originated from.

I think this post can be a good start point for facilitating MUSE trade on our DEX (Decentralized Excange)
As you may know, we do have MUSE markets on the BitShares Platform!
See,

https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/market/TRADE.MUSE_BTS
https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/market/OPENMUSE_BTS
https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/market/OPENMUSE_OPENBTC

But at the moment, the spread is too high and liquidity is quite low. In TRADE.MUSE market, highest buy is 0.25 and the lowest sell is 0.90 (BTS/MUSE)
OPENMUSE is sold at approximately 2.0 BTS/MUSE, and the highest bid is 0.25.
For your information, in Yunbi, the MUSE price is about 0.007 CNY, or 0.35 BTS/MUSE.

Anyone wants to sell or buy MUSE, come to the DEX.
