Hmm. Who/what sets the price continuously, in that case?

For Trade.Muse? ? BTS:Trade.Muse is a market where individuals buy/sale Trade.Muse for bts

So the market determines the price of Trade.Muse...

Aren't these pairs dependent on blocktrades / openledger to stick around ? If we have (bit)USD, why not simply (bit)MUSE? What's the (dis)advantage?

bitMUSE requires additional price feed information and it may lack liquidity at the moment.

Where does the price feed for BTS:TRADE.MUSE come from?

there are no price feeds on User Issued Assets which TRADE.MUSE is.  Smart Assets such as bitUSD require a price feed so they can be shorted into existence

sucks that what small liquidity there ends up being is going to be spread between trade.muse and openmuse.  We really need to solve this and combine the order books

Really wish they would have thought of this and all gateways issue one asset but it tracks what gateway it came from so when you cash out it automatically goes to whatever gateway it originated from.

Someone with great vision on MUSE just bought MUSE at 0.9 BTS/MUSE. Hopefully, he will get 5x profit :)

I think this post can be a good start point for facilitating MUSE trade on our DEX (Decentralized Excange)
As you may know, we do have MUSE markets on the BitShares Platform!
See,

https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/market/TRADE.MUSE_BTS
https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/market/OPENMUSE_BTS
https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/market/OPENMUSE_OPENBTC

But at the moment, the spread is too high and liquidity is quite low. In TRADE.MUSE market, highest buy is 0.25 and the lowest sell is 0.90 (BTS/MUSE)
OPENMUSE is sold at approximately 2.0 BTS/MUSE, and the highest bid is 0.25.
For your information, in Yunbi, the MUSE price is about 0.007 CNY, or 0.35 BTS/MUSE.

Anyone wants to sell or buy MUSE, come to the DEX.
