@valzav I delayed my reply as I wanted to build the project (faucet) locally and check it out but I didn't have time yet as we are wrapping up the work at Viva la Vita. Will certainly have free time during the weekend.

I've checked in my recent work into the crypto branch.
Basically what is needed is to port these python classes https://github.com/xeroc/python-graphenelib/tree/master/graphenebase to ruby.
I'm pretty sure the community will vote your worker proposal in if your goal is to enable Reddit tipping - we've been discussing Reddit tipping bot a lot of times and all were agree this is a great way to spread the word around.

Hi all,

Thanks for the welcoming :)

First of let me explain something that I created a confusion about. On AwesomeWeb I did not implement the designs and front-end. That was the web designer's and front-end's developer work. I would say my strong skills is on back-end functionality (i.e. features, fixing and building the functionality of a service/website). I am pretty much familiar with front-end development but in terms of integrating or enhancing and not creating a design from scratch.

@btswolf I surely do have lots of connections. It is about of what kind of skills are needed though.

@kuro112 PM'ed; thank you

Greetings,

I hope I am posting on the right place.
A kind redditor pointed out about bitshare's "workers" scheme. As a result I would like to offer my skills for hire if there is anything I can help with.

Who am I and what is this post about.

I am an experienced and successful web developer. My desire is to create and work on amazing websites/services that I will be proud of. My best project can be found here: http://www.awesomeweb.com - I was the Lead Developer. My current position is a CTO for Viva la Vita and my work is to build a back-end web service (API) for their mobile app. My work is almost over there.

Make sure to check my bio: http://www.stefanosioannou.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/bio-StefanosIoannou-December-2015.pdf and skill-set: http://www.stefanosioannou.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/SkillsetTraining-StefanosIoannou.pdf

To make things easier for consideration my normal hourly rate is $35 and I can drop it as much as $20 depending on the project's nature. Also I will apply a 10% discount as I will be paid in digital currency / assets.

I am very confident that I can help in a possible project that involves a web page or service using Ruby and/or the Rails framework.

Thank you for your consideration.

@Xypher @hybridd

im certain we have a position for you available.

shoot me a pm if your interested in working with us.

Greetings @stefioan

Would love see you as a wallet gui dev or in any other way you can possibly contribute for BitShares! Hopefully more people come in!

That awesomeweb site you shared seems pretty interesting, looks like we could search for UI devs there

@btswolf have you thought about posting a job there? You had the template!

I think BitShares will definitely benefit hiring one more front-end developer.
I see the following areas where you can apply your skills:
1. BitShares wallet gui https://github.com/cryptonomex/graphene-ui
2. Faucet software https://github.com/cryptonomex/faucet

For #1 you need to be familiar with React.js. The objective here is to develop Exchange UI similar to ones centralized exchanges have.
If you want to go this route I suggest you to tackle one or more issues from this list https://github.com/cryptonomex/graphene-ui/issues, just pick something simple - you need something to show to community to bring more attention, after that post your worker proposal here and on blockchain and let community vote.

For #2 - the Faucet is written in Ruby On Rails, so it's a good fit for your skills. The main thing we didn't finish yet is ability to track referral codes so anyone can send referral code with some amount of any currency to a friend and friend doesn't need to have BitShares account for that. Basically this allows you to send BitAssets to any email or social network account.
What needs to be done for this is to port Xeroc's python BitShasres client to Ruby. I've started this work but didn't have a chance to finish, I can share with you what I already have.
Next milestone for the Faucet would be to allow Reddit tipping via referral codes.

Welcome.
If I remember, CryptoFresh.com is written in Ruby?
Any other Ruby projects here?

//Edit:
We do need front-end developers. Need skills with Activejs ReactJs.

Your pricing seems really good... I would definitely support a worker proposal from someone without ties to Cryptonomex (who by the way charge $100 or more an hour)
