Yup. We were contacted by the organizer who's involved with Ethereum and we got along great. There was nothing but curiosity and enthusiasm around BitShares' ideas/technology and what we're trying to do.

Manuel Lains (spectral) is holding the presentation, and we're doing a day-long workshop at the event co-hosted by BitSpace.

BitSpace is the company my brother and I founded recently, which is currently engaged in knowledge&consulting services. So we're doing this workshop now, in addition to the presentation, and we're also hosting a "Bitcoin course" for newbies in Oslo the 23th.

The workshop at Oslo Blockchain Day will feature 3 tutorials: "bitcoin getting started," "exchanging cryptocurrencies" and "creating your own asset." The last session will feature BitShares as the means of creating your own asset.

We also found out just a few days ago that svk was available to join us at this event! He will be an essential part of the workshop, helping us present BitShares in the best possible light. We just talked to him for the first time yesterday, and are super-excited about that

If you guys have some ideas for the workshop or the presentation, "BitShares 2.0 and smartcoins," please let us know. In fact, i'll open a new thread now if people want to contribute ideas.

This seems to be an Ethereum+Hyperledger thing and I don't think they want us to be part of it. Otherwise they would have contected either the BitShares community or Cryptonomex .. which they did not.
Joining the party there would give us the role as an outside, wouldn't you agree?
I'd rather concentrate on growing our ecosystem then try to grab a cut of theirs.
