Thanks for this. Went from over a million BTS (3 letters) all the way down to 7,338 (5 letters)! This is definitely more reasonable.

Why short names are discouraged this way?

Because if they were, you would not be having this conversation. They would all have taken. When 2.0 first launched, someone used a bot to start squating names. He got thousands before the prices were changed to reflect the value of short names.

Hi everyone

I was looking into creating an asset on BTS. I have a lifetime membership, but it seems like the cost of an asset is equal to 8.5 Bitcoins! On Ethereum it doesn't even come close to 1 Ether to create a token.

3 dollars vs 5,000 is a big difference.... What am I missing here?
