Could you please explain how/when/why did bitRUB break? Why do we need a hard fork in order to fix it?

In the early days of BitShares 2, we probably had a glitch in the feed scripts that published a price feed that was way of the actual values. The end result was that bitRUB black-swanned. No new bitRUB can be issued anymore right now and the existing bitRUB (probably just a few $ worth of RUB) are stuck. Only a hard fork can either revive the asset, or add functionalities that allow shareholders to revive it.

I don't have a problem supporting a price feed for Ruble, but I think national currencies should be voted in through the committee members. Mostly because any price manipulation (not that you would do that) would reflect on the credibility of DEX.

That is the reason why we want to have witnesses/committee members or any other trusted members of the community to be on the list of feed producers. That way we can be sure that it is much harder to manipulate price feeds, and the Ruble is much more robust as a SmartCoin.

I need a clarification. You want to use RUBLE until bitRUB starts and then discontinue or do you want to eventually have both?

When bitRUB will be fixed, we'll smoothly be migrating to it
Like 1:1 scheme trough our gateway
We need RUB now, this only one reason why we start the MPA

Yeah, but all  parameters can be changed by 1 person, including feed.

Good! Wanted to trade rubles when it was plummeting, but bitRUB was screwed. Such an awesome shorting opportunity lost back then Now I can finally set my bot on it

We chose an option to give price-feed by the list of 10 accounts that can do it
That's why I asking the nicknames of those witnesses who ready to give a price-feed
when the all 10 accounts will be reached we'll make changes in MPA and vote on those who participate
