Just check the order books and do whatever is more profitable for you (the way which you get more BTS for your ETH).

I have my ethereum in poloniex.  To buy bitshares I "think" I need to convert  them to BTC and them buy BTS if I want to do it within poloniex.   Wld you recommend I do that -- or wld I be better off sending the Eth to the BTS exchange (dec?) and then trying to buy BT's directly w Eth?  Please advise and I know I am responsible for whatever I choose.  Thank you.  - ted
