Any help with withdrawal

After a bit of research I believe it’s because we currently don’t have any bts in our wallet so there fore. Account isn’t registered as we have nothing to trade with? I remember before having to add bitshares to account to get it up and running could be our issue bitshareing

Hi guys I’m trying to withdraw my BTS from bter and out it in my bitshares wallet but when I put my username in everything goes through ok... until they try to transfer it they say there is no registered account with my username I checked that it is correct 3 tines any ideas if I have done something wrong? I’ve had the bitshares just sitting in bter for about 3 years now and as bter was closing down wanted to move them on... so I have never actually used the bit shares client, any ideas much appreciated thanks
