These are great news for the BitShares platform! I am looking forward to use Bexi for Payger. I visited the Lykke office in Zurich myself in December 2017 to discuss on/off ramp services for BitAssets. Lykke is a great company with hundreds of active developers and with a very experient management team.

How can we help with the Bexi development?

Best regards,
Chris

I don't think openledger's FIAT offerings are in the picture here, we're talking about new FIAT onramps through lykke not OL.
First importantly, the only on/off ramp that will open there is against BTS once we have legal clarity for BTS (hint: read the worker proposal: http://www.bitshares.foundation/worker/budget/2018-02-legal-council-bts) ... the plan is to go further and request legal clarity for bitassets for currencies like bitUSD, bitCNY etc ..
I'd think that the bitassets would be far less questionable than BTS itself, because there is less of the mixed up equity terminology surrounding them.

Looks good, though I'm not entirely fond of pandering solely to Bittrex. That said, a successful no-action intent from the SEC would probably be massively beneficial for future exchange addition. Idk if we should be pushing BTS to centralized exchanges as much as we should be pushing bitassets - for one bitassets lock up collateral, and another non-BTS assets held by centralized exchanges pose no voting threat (exchanges voting with BTS, unless bitAssets count towards polls?)..

I signed up for a lykke account today and even bought some of their shares.

I hope they can be a real fiat on off ramp for bitshares
Problem is that we need off ramp too and openEUR, USD does not workfor some reason.

thats a great deal for bitshares and the whitepaper on mpa is very good too, should help the adoption of stable coins as payment method, something that i think should be more massive at this point. nice job and keep contributing!

Dear BitShares Community,

We, Blockchain Projects BV, are proud to announce the initiation of listing the BitShares core token BTS with the Lykke exchange.

Contact to the Lykke team was established November 2017 and we have been negotiating since then to get BTS listed. We are in the process of completing the technical work as we speak. The BitShares Blockchain Foundation (BBF) was involved between Blockchain Projects BV and Lykke to get the required legal confirmation to list BTS, which was necessary since Lykke provides a direct FIAT on- and off-ramp. The BBF will continue to provide technical and economical descriptions to Lykke’s legal council in the next goal to explore the possibility of listing BitShares price-stable SmartCoins (e.g. bitUSD, bitEUR, see http://www.bitshares.foundation/smartcoins).

We see great benefits for the BitShares community and want to summarize the impact of the Lykke integration:
  • A FIAT on/off ramp for BTS without the need for Bitcoin
  • A potential FIAT on/off ramp for the price-stable SmartCoins

Thanks to Lykke, the integration module that is being developed for the listing, called
Bexi - BitShares Exchange Integration API,
will be open source and made available after the development is completed, reviewed and tested by Blockchain Projects BV.
