I hold the same opinion as DL, and I am not monetarily involved.

Because there is a DEX that is seamless to use with BitShares, does not mean that it is a DEX.

There are huge differences between an exchange and a blockchain.

DL, your opinion will be too biased for this discussion, I need other community members' opinions instead

also, nothing "biased", content as per whitepaper:

Did the SEC actually take BBF/whoever to court? Where is the evidence for this?

Currently Move Institute is owner of bitshares.org domain and will not represent trading dapp without licence, owner or responsible entity for all those securities issued by unnamed people.

BitShares is a blockchain, and you need to inform yourself asap.

DEX is native dApp on BitShares blockchain.

I said it's not a "blockchain platform", it definitely is a "blockchain". A blockchain platform is something like Ethereum or Cardano

IMO this is a great step and I believe the website looks great. While it does have a few things that look like an ICO website, there is a major difference. BitShares has been around for a while and it works.

And to address “it’s not a blockchain”, yes it is. It serves its purpose as fintech, not an exchange. BitShares itself is not solely a dex, it can be used in a variety of different ways. A dex was built on top of it, yes, but isn’t the sole function of BitShares.

And with the US SEC prosecuting, wording is very important.

I don't think the new website fits Bitshares' well, Bitshares is a decentralized exchange not a blockchain platform. Also, the website looks like every other ICO website
