In 8th Nov, totally 200M BTS are sent from binance BTS wallet account   binance-bitshares-tss to gate and MEXC.

according to binance's announcement in 12th Aug, binance will perform a conversion of BTS to USDC based on user's holdings in their binance wallet and return U to users, the conversion will be completed by 2025/3/1.

so it's clear that now binance began the "conversion" - in other words, they will sell out the total 356M BTS in CEX like gate and MEXC before 2025/3/1.

UPDATE:

Today (Jan 7, 2025) in total 155M BTS was sent from binance BTS wallet account binance-bitshares-tss to gate.io and MEXC, 77.5M each first, later mostly moved to gate.io. As of writing there is 1,175,867 BTS in binance wallet account.

Once again, it is very clear that ByBit does not own that account. It is owned by the scammer.

...
By the way, judging from the text you quoted, after you started replying to me, I edited my post and supplemented some info. Maybe you missed it. See https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=34110.msg350735#msg350735

I would still appreciate if Bitcrab (or even yourself if You can acquire information) would be decent enough to reply to the 1st question I've popped:

1.) Is the sellout done ? Today is 5th of January 2025.

There are links in OP. Quoted below.

In 8th Nov, totally 200M BTS are sent from binance BTS wallet account   binance-bitshares-tss to gate and MEXC.

https://blocksights.info/#/accounts/binance-bitshares-tss1
From on-chain data there is still 156M BTS in Binance's cold wallet account. In other words, judging from public info, nothing has changed after Binance sent 200M BTS to other exchanges. So I think Binance hasn't sold out yet.

Nevertheless, MEXC's account balance has returned to the level before Binance sent them 100M, that means the 200M has been mostly moved to Gate.io. Whether the 200M is still in Binance's hands, or how much they have sold, is something I don't know. I guess they have sold most of the 200M since around 2 months have passed already and they have less than 2 months left to sell the rest.

FYI, at the time that Bitcrab posted OP here, he also talked in chat groups about an idea that maybe the community can crowdfund to buy Binance's BTS off the counter, and some days later he said in a chat group that he's unable to contact the person(s) in charge in Binance, so he gave up the idea.

By the way, Indodax (a.k.a. Bitcoin Indonesia) delisted BTS recently: https://blog.indodax.com/delisting-des2/ . As of writing there is around 52M BTS in their accounts (dropped from around 80M (IIRC)). According to their announcement, they will sell off by January 16, 2025.

Abit,

Please read the ticket and investigate account. ByBit EXCHANGE issued that deposit details and user transferred from MXCOM to ByBit.

Fact is BTS is not listed on ByBit so there is no way a user can transfer BTS from anywhere to ByBit. The victim was convinced by the scammer that he/she can do that and profit from it. It's not ByBit's fault.

It's not our fault either.

Quote
Interesting thing is that MXCOM HAS LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY to catch the Scammer that is using their exchange to defraud people for funds (even if it isn't MXCOM itself or ByBit) - NOT TO POINT FINGERS OUR WAY.

MXCOM maybe has legal responsibility about that, or not, I don't know. I'm not a lawyer. If so, it is the victim's responsibility to ask related authorities to take action, it's not appropriate that we do anything on behalf of the victim, especially when you even don't know what has happened. Although I generally don't like authorities, if they request something by the law, I'm willing to cooperate.

Quote
Point: Educate them, or authorities will educate them.

Maybe my prejudice, I think authorities usually make things worse.

Quote

And to be clear: do not ever again compare my history with any of them, I had the decency to follow up on legalities with any/every company I've touched. I signed every paper and every investment deal by name of myself even it costed ME IN THE END EVERYTHING - so please educate yourself more, I'm still learning and surprisingly You seem be in denial for new lessons which personally makes me truly sad.

Small note on account owned by ByBit -> All the funds are automatically (probably by bot) being sent back straight to MXCOM, hence the responsibility is 100% ON THEM.
Once again, it is very clear that ByBit does not own that account. It is owned by the scammer.

Thank You for setting aside Your own prejudice and making this reasonable conversation. I will step down from communicating further with the user apart from pointing out to the user itself that MXCOM has full legal responsibility as by the investigation of the account ->> scammer is using MXCOM to defraud people as the funds are coming back within seconds to the same exchange account on the BitShares blockchain.

I would still appreciate if Bitcrab (or even yourself if You can acquire information) would be decent enough to reply to the 1st question I've popped:

I'm not promising user that "I will" get his money back. Seems you forgotten that I'm more intelligent than that.

I'm sending notice to user that if his money is not in his account by end of the weak, I will use his transcripts and authorization to go to the Authorities as he is the defrauded victim here.

Once again, it is very clear that ByBit does not own that account. It is owned by a scammer.

Just FYI, we have the https://t.me/BitSharesScams Telegram Group to educate victims, you can see the common scam schemes. The message you got is one of them, see https://t.me/BitsharesScams/33.

We have more than 3000 maybe-scam-related accounts listed here https://github.com/bitshares/bitshares-ui/blob/develop/app/lib/common/scamAccounts.js, but actually there are much more such accounts on the blockchain and new scam accounts are being created every day. We are just unable to catch them all.

BitShares can and will built different case, against slander and incompetence by the exchange that pointed finger our way.
This is another topic. I don't like that they point fingers to us either. But don't make mistakes like them.

P.S. Stop arguing, arguing is for people less intelligent than we are.

I am back and here to stay. And as far as I am concerned, I'm already doing more than many others who stayed/took over after I was removed. Customer/User base is only thing what matters for success and recognition - nothing else.

Hi,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Jerry. Long time we haven't interacted which is on me - and starting off the wrong foot will be again on me.

Please endure following questions and reply as fast as possible:

1.) Today is January 4th 2025. Is the conversion mentioned above done ? Is the Pump&Dump finalized ?

2.) December 24th 2024 we have received a very ticket support with inquiry ending up in very interesting results.

Doing investigation of the mentioned account where withdrawal was made I was (not)surprised to see that ByBit is just another clone of MXCOM/Binance and all of that bullshit from the past 6 years that has been going on.

If You navigate to 5th page in the account activity You will find transaction of the victim reaching to support.

Now, I honestly had some personal growth over the past 2 years and I'm completely not interested in the structure, scheme or way of You and Your exchange buddies are doing business, but I DO CARE ABOUT BITSHARES USERS and I DO NOT ALLOW SCAM.

So to be clear, I will  today write a reply that his money will be back in his account by the end of the week (tomorrow) and You will go back to your MXCOM buddies and explain to them (if they haven't learned after 11 years of existence of BitShares):

Re: "I will  today write a reply that his money will be back in his account by the end of the week"

I'd say you're acting completely wrong. I don't think you can make it, so why promise it in the first place?

The user was scammed, yes. It is his/her greed and ignorance that caused it. Such scams are happening every day in the world. You are not the God, you can't save all people.

You do not allow scam, that's fine. But you need to have the strength to do it well. Your past behavior does not prove it.

A clear fact is that this account https://wallet.bitshares.org/#/account/thor1l8hvnr2rec39qnk5365hppywtwr8p8qwq3z3yw is owned by the scammer but not any exchange you mentioned, nor bitcrab who you're pointing finger to. The scheme is simple, the scammer somehow convinced the victim to send funds (from wherever) to his account and he sends it back to the victim's account (again wherever) with a bonus and he can decide to not send back at all.

I'll personally write a letter to Ms. Salgado-Juarez, Mariela (USAILN) in the US Department of Justice who is aligned with Federal Bureau of Investigation for Victim Support in cases of fraud&scam with cc to Mr. Gary Gensler who is the chair of the US SEC on Monday morning giving them full structure of the cloned exchanges without proper licenses operating from a dead and/or un-existing companies somewhere in England.

I hope I was crystal clear and no hard feelings. But, unfortunately I am back and I never allowed or will allow anything similar to this.

IMHO Seeking support from the authorities is never a good idea. The real solution is education.
