I got in before the last difficulty change (.0..12-51) and my current rate is 0.2pts/day. I just finished mining my first coin(~72hrs) and will stop here. I really like PTS but as I've said earlier, I clearly missed the train :(

This train has not yet begun to leave the station.  Just buy some on the market :)

I'm all new to cryptocoins anno 2013. I have no BTC and with BTC on the rise it's not the right time to buy just to be able to buy PTS. That's a lose-lose battle right now. I wish there was a USD->PTS Exchange available.

It's not anyone's fault, it's just a fact that i missed the initial launch and with increasing difficulty over time i won't even be able to mine a hundred coins in a year :(

I guess we'll see what happens.

Seems like it yes. At the moment it's hard to mine. Got 2 PTS around midnight for around 13 hours mining in beer's pool.

Got 5 computers running. 2 amd fx 8350 and 3 I5-3570.
What hashrate are you getting with that 8350?

total currently: 0  >:(
botnet owners, and those with access to large cloud compute clusters who started day 1 seem to be the winners, after next difficulty change, I think ordinary miners can call it a night.

I got in on the first day and hit 2 blocks (100 PTS)

On the next block, I got 47.50 and a few days later I got 45.125.

So, my total is now 192.625 PTS

I went away for a few days...

Since I came back (and installed the new client) I've been CPU mining on a 2.7 GhZ Intel i7 for 3 days straight and I got Jack Shite. Nada. Nothing. Zilch. Zero. From what I'm reading here, the diff has increased so high that people are getting maybe 2 PTS now. Mining farms killed it already. Meh. I'm just going to stop trying.

Someone needs to develop a crypto currency that is CPU-only which doesn't allow pools or farms. There are too many guys out there with a metric shit-tonne of hardware. The average casual guy at home can't compete and it instantly becomes a waste of time.

You earn 3 times less for the next 2-3 days, decide for yourself - profitable is always relative to many factors like power cost, time, capacities and personal visions :D

Seems like people have the idea that mining is no longer profitable because of the recent diff changes. Is this true or should i just keep on mining away? ;P

Protoshares represent a unique investing opportunity in cryptocurrency as the first backed, revolving dividend bearing crypto.
Before you say the price of PTS is too high, take a look at theThe Reason.  Protoshares are an entirely new type of Cryptocurrency, one that pays to hold.

I believe Donschoe said the largest wallets he'd seen had about 20k in them.  I can confirm I did single buyer orders at 20k quantities when the price was .003-.004 to individuals who are very unlikely to sell and are not affiliated with Invictus.

Wow, that is 1%, like the Winklevoss brothers  ;)

The poll needs better data points. Someone like bytemaster owns tens of thousands of PTS and clubbing them with someone with 1000 doesn't accurately capture the amounts. Needs to be a little more logarithmic towards the higher end, I think
