Reminds me a while back when some guy was bragging in the bter trollbox about how he had made this awesome trade in NAS or some stupid coin like that, and it had gone up 100%.  And the volume on NAS during that time had been basically nothing, so what had happened i that the guy had bought .01 BTC of it and had sold it for .02, making a whole 2 bucks. 

He was giving these tips about trading some coin that had like $5 a day in trading volume, as if you could make anything from that at all. :)

ha yeah not just that, but these highly illiquid coins mean that even if it looks like you've made a 100% gain, when you go to unwind your position you'll end up crashing the market and getting right back to where you started!
