you want your shares to be dividable? if no your precision should be "0" .. if you want it like USD dollar ... with up to 99 cents .. your precision should be "2"

in short: decimal places
Give BitShares a try! Use the http://testnet.bitshares.eu provided by http://bitshares.eu powered by ChainSquad GmbH

nooooo it should be 100
Do not use this post as information for making any important decisions. The only agreements I ever make are informal and non-binding. Take the same precautions as when dealing with a compromised account, scammer, sockpuppet, etc.

If unsure test it! It will cost you just a few thousand dollars.

LOL

>>precision (int64_t, optional, defaults to 1000000): defines where the decimal should be displayed, must be a power of 10

Lack of arbitrage is the problem, isn't it. And this 'should' solves it.

oh damnit ... sorry

it 10 to the power of 0 and 10 to the power of 2 ;-)

thanks for correcting me ...

BTW. there is a testnet running (resets sometimes) it is in the github.com/BitShares repos and is called bitshares_toolkit ..
some devs can send you some funds and you can play around with the assets for free
