MemoryCoin / Re: New YAM version release
« on: January 31, 2014, 07:21:03 pm »
I am achieving higher speeds on my I5-2500K with some optimizations. From 5HPM to 8HPM. It starts up slow [6.8HPM] but makes its way higher.

I am now running the YAM configuration upon startup to grab as much RAM as possible from my system. This slows down applications and runs them from the HDD but it is very well worth it. (I am using four threads w/ 4096MB on a 6GB PC Setup)

I have overclocked my CPU from 3.3GHz to 4.2GHz by reapplying premium Thermal Paste and sanding the Thermal Surface of the CPU Cooler (It only has two copper pipes).

Using Process Lasso, I have decreased priorities of the running miner to run as an idle process.

In essence, the link suggests a new pool share system.

This system of PPS promotes stable miners.

Once the pool becomes unlucky, they can leave and join the other pools for more block reward. (This may translate to more MMC if you find that the pool power increases, allowing faster payouts)

My % goes down as stronger miners join the pool, but I guess statistics are statistics when it comes to the payout %.

Pool owner, Please,
read this.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1976.msg50002#msg50002

I am very tempted to just hop to the luckiest pools to grab the most amount of MMC.

We got two blocks with ~5k shares and now we're up to 27k shares.

Memorycoin: The first cryptocurrency coin made for the people. Primarily used to convert electricity into cash, this is the first coin to introduce democracy and shareholders into account.

The classic Pump-and-dump scheme has been completely eradicated when each and every memorycoin holder has a stake in the dynamic politics of Memorycoin.
Memorycoin, launched by Freetrade, one of the crucial team members in the creation and launch of Protoshares, has done it again by counting votes by shareholders when voting for five different political sections that have a huge but important amount of interaction in the community.

Memorycoin is almost completely bot-net proof, with its only requirements to mine best available to CPU owners who own AES-NI advanced technology hardware and RAM usages to completely unsheathe malware on computers.

Can write more x)

I agree it's not the best name but I think it would be too big of a process to change it now...

Clone it.

PollCoin. MajorityCoin. OfficeCoin. ElectedCoin. DemocraCoin. CoinRepublic. TallyCoin. BallotCoin. CorporateCoin. CoinInc.

No pre-mine!
Please, not another one of those.

The community decides which charity to pick primarily by voting for them.

If you don't like the structure of this cha, don't vote for it.

Please research and develop AMD processor optimization.
AMD CPU's -FX 8000 series and 9000 series:

I grab 7.5-8.5HPM with 8GB+2GB RAM and 4.5GHz OC (FX8320) still leaves GPU mining more efficient by around 50%.

It still costs 50% more per HM to capitalize but is in line with power consumption vs. GPU's. [160W+/8.5HPM{MOBO+CPU+RAM} vs. 300W+/20HPM] and [$250ish/8.5HPM for CPU+RAM vs. $400-$430 GPU/20HPM]

There are some AMD specific technologies you may be able to play around with, and please focus on AMD series as well as Intel series for your miner optimizations.

Updated the script;
Tested on Debian 7 64-bit.

Installation runs a bit faster, automatically detects if the directories are there to work with and will ask you if they are incorrect.

The autorestarter cycler has been more fine tuned to test for crashes in 3, 45 second checks.
Limited connection limits between 25 to 700.
Fixed churn dialogue

A bit more improvements that are too small to notice.
thoughts, suggestions?

Fixed RPCPASSWORD ERROR by using
Code: [Select]
echo ` < /dev/urandom tr -dc A-Za-z0-9 | head -c20` as the password.

It's easy to increase popularity. Watch the world news and find a cause. The only issue right now is popularity. Look at what that did to bitcoin.
Donate to the next world distaster that comes up to easily get onto worldwide television. We need the voices of bloggers and journalists.
Do some demographics and figure that guerilla marketing is the only viable option.
Request MMC miner writers to allow a % of your shares to be sent to a donation address to aid certain causes.

Donate your shares to power volunteers on a team to create Folding@home or BOINC shares.

Freetrade, any ideas?

MemoryCoin / Re: GPU Miner - Ubuntu Configuration (X server issues)
« on: January 27, 2014, 02:26:33 am »
Fixed it. Using Lubuntu Desktop 64-bit.

Basically the X server's config was running on the normal user (non-root).

Guess I got it working by using: su xxusername (in this case, su mmc) -- ran the miner, and everything went well with those commands ^.^

I've tested Xubuntu, debian 7, and ubuntu desktop 13 and 12 with issues on SSH. All MMC GPU miners including CGminer have this issue.

X server not detected.. etc.

In the end, I shall try a >300MB Windows XP + RDP and compare stats. I prefer Windows for stability with GPU's and scrypt.
