Strange, never heard of that issue before.

Can you try to start it from command line?
start->cmd
cd <path to MemoryCoin>
memorycoin-qt.exe

maybe this will give some info when it crashes...

Here's a detailed guide: http://memorycoin.org/de/profitable-cpu-mining-with-memorycoin-mmc/

The newbie guide also contains a section about mining: http://memorycoin.org/de/newbie-guide/#Content-bal-title

When you say mmc, are you talking about the memorycoin-qt.exe? If that closes without notice it's difficult to say why - try starting it from the command line to get some info

It's difficult to understand what your problem is - what's your native language?

MemoryCoin / Re: transaction too large?
« on: March 20, 2014, 02:16:48 pm »
It's because of how the blockchain works. The pools pay out as soon as your balance there is 0.5 MMC. All these payouts come in on a different block. When you try to send 1500 MMC at once the transaction would have to include data from 3000 blocks.

The transaction is not too large by coins, but by data size. That's also the reason for the high tx fee for your send of 500 - the fee is determined by how many kB of data the transaction needs.

MemoryCoin / Re: MemoryCoin Charity?
« on: March 20, 2014, 01:57:33 pm »
I wish I could agree with you about the charity bringing attention, but I haven't seen increased attention the last time we (or, itsik) sent out a batch. How many coins does he have now, something around 25k? Who cares about a donation of 1000$?  :(

What is the time frame of charitable donations? Does MMC donate every week or once a month?

I feel like 25k mmc every month (I don't know the time frame) would generate alot of positive publicity especially if it was directed towards a 'respected and known' organization.

Also, this part of MMC ought to have more attention considering that there isn't really an altcoin that has charity built into the blockchain, am I wrong?

The blockchain currently donates 28.75 MMC every two hours (going down 5% every week).
The guy who got elected to manage the distribution of donations seems to have lost interest and doesn't fulfill his promise to let the community vote on which charities he splits the coins on. So like emre said, the community should change the vote.

You're right that this should bring more attention, but the mere fact that nothing happened since nearly 2 months and you are the first one to ask shows how many people care...

I do know he's alive, yes, don't worry about that ;) He doesn't need an excuse, he's still elected and can handle it any way he likes as long as he doesn't sell the coins for his own profit - and I can assure he won't do that. Everyone who disagrees with his (lack of) actions should vote for one of the other charities. That's how it works.

There's no official charity currently.
Donschoe was elected to split the grant between different charities, but he's just collecting the coins and waiting for better prices since quite a while

he answered this question on bitcointalk
the main reason was that he's not cno any more and it was a free service, he had to pay for the server and spend time on it

You can change your vote using option 1
It's just not possible to completely remove your vote (except option 3)

You got the following options:

- vote for another candidate (sigh)
- vote for the spoil address
- vote for a non-existing address

There's no other way to remove your vote once it was cast from your address. That's why donschoe's cha address is voting for the spoil addresses - he voted in the beginning and decided not to vote with this address later, but it's not possible to just remove the vote.

MemoryCoin / Re: [CSO] Support team status
« on: March 15, 2014, 02:19:49 pm »
We need more support!

It's hard enough to pay 10 translators with the current grant amount*value, losing the position to the spoil address periodically makes it even worse...

MemoryCoin / Re: yam will not launch - pls help
« on: March 12, 2014, 10:50:13 am »
you can remove the gpools line from the config.

instead of clicking the exe, open cmd, cd to the directory containing the yam.exe and start it from there - hopefully you'll get some output this way which helps to solve the issue...
