« on: October 21, 2015, 11:19:19 am »

Currently, you cannot transfer any bitassets without the pool fee being funded, the web client does not support paying in BTS yet.

Stakeholder Proposals / Worker Proposal - Asset pool fee funding
« on: October 21, 2015, 08:55:59 am »
Dear community,

As the pool fees for USD, CNY, EUR, GOLD, SILVER are constantly empty, we've seen suggestions on the forum to create a worker proposal to constantly re-fill them. It's no solution that random community members refill these pools out of their own money.

The web wallet should be updated so support fee paying in BTS if the pool fund is empty, but it is not implemented yet.

My Proposal

  • Provide funding for fee pool funding for USD and CNY: 4000 BTS daily
  • Provide funding for fee pool funding for EUR, SILVER and GOLD: 2000 BTS daily
  • Total worker proposal funding: 300000 BTS
  • Total length of worker contract: 30 days
  • Vesting: 0 days, since we need fill the pool funds immediately
  • Create open source script that automatically funds a fee pool when it is empty: 10% of the total amount

The worker contract will start on October 23 00:00 GMT and will End on November 23 00:00. Funding is provided for a total of 27 days. The script will be published on github before Sunday.

Please vote for my worker bitasset-fund-pool
EDIT: Please vote for worker proposal object 1.14.4

HOW TO VOTE FOR THIS PROPOSAL IN THE CLI WALLET:

Quote
update_worker_votes <youraccount> {"vote_for" : [1.14.4], "vote_against" : [], "vote_abstain" : []} true

Thank you for bitcube and fav that helped to come up and create this proposal.

Regards,

I tried that, but the cli doesn't support creating workers yet.

If the user has BTS1 accounts, I would not show backup brainkey, but Download backup instead.

Brainkey does not include BTS1 accounts

Hi,

the network raised the account creation fee to 95BTS to combat spam. After release, we've had alot of spam attacks, and they've stopped now.

Best regards

General Discussion / How do I create worker proposals?

Hi,

I looked in the CLI, but cannot find any commands that would allow me to create a worker proposal.

Thanks

The wallet is NOT stored on the server, you cannot be compromised when the server gets hacked. You should delete the keys in the browser local storage though, when you do not intend to use this web wallet again.

EDIT: Only when the server publishes malicious code, and you continue to use this web wallet, you're in danger.

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: Please vote for banxio delegate

There is no position in BTS2 that is called 'delegate', I think you mean a witness.

BTS doesn't have much value if we do not succeed our goal of price stable crypto currencies.. I didn't short alot of bitUSD, just enough to learn how this works.

General Discussion / Please provide liquidity in the bitUSD market!
« on: October 18, 2015, 07:33:55 pm »
Hi,

I just borrowed some bitUSD to cover the gap between settlement price and best ask. Please do the same. BitUSD buyers are already willing to buy bitUSD at 1.10 USD! So this is a great opportunity to ingnite this market!

Thanks

@xeroc: I don't have enough information to fully understand how it works, but I'll bug theroetical or bytemaster to fully grasp how it works, then I will write an article for you.

Yes please, BM, please join us on telegram, the majority of the witnesses are already there.

Also, I think any witness who is NOT in our primary telegram channel shouldn't be voted in since he can't react to events happening in realtime. We're very well connected and almost a family now. We're self-organizing.

You need to create a commitee member using the CLI, and then publish your proposal and be voted in.

Once that is done, you need to create an actual proposal transaction to modify some parameter. The review period takes 2 weeks, and can be killed by voting you out. Other commitee members can accept your proposal transactions, but I'm not sure how interaction between all the commitee members work.

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: Lets vote for lower fees!
« on: October 17, 2015, 04:16:35 pm »
I would disagree to lower the fees at this point. The referral program has not even started, and it requires a substantial portion of the fees to make a meaningful contribution to actually work.

The fee right of this moment is 8 us cents, and a lifetime membership upgrade is 41 USD, which lowers the fee to 1.6 cents, which is very reasonable.

Each transaction brings 6.4 cents to the referral market
1.6 cents are being burned OR are put into the worker fund (when the fund is not full)

That means each transaction FUNDS our software developers so they can continue to enhance our platform and make things better and easier to use.

Decentralized marketeers are waiting for the referral program to launch, it has not even started, so why would you want to kill the referral market before it has even launched?? 6.4 cent for each transaction is a PRETTY GOOD DAMN argument to bring in new users. That's alot of money right here on the table.

However, I would suggest to lower the fees for smaller transactions. It does not make sense to charge 20BTS for a 100BTS fee, a small %-fee would be more suitable here.

Let's put this fee into comparison of what I'm paying to my banks here in Germany:

I'm paying 5 Euros per month flat for my personal bank account, and doing maybe 25 transactions a month, this equals a 0.20 euro/tx fee.

I'm paying 20 euros flat for my corporate bank account, plus 5 cents per transactions and I'm doing roughly 30 transactions here per month. This equals 0.73 Euro/tx fee.

Now compare this to the BTS fees. We're not trying to compete with Bitcoin (which has 3-4 cents fees!) or any other cryptocurrency but we're trying to compete with creditcards, bank accounts, stock portfolio accounts etc. I think we're VERY competitive when you compare us to dwolla, paypal and any other bank. This is what counts!

My 2BTS.
